Mientras expulsan a 277 jóvenes recién graduados en España de la carrera investigadora, se vanaglorian de traer un puñado del extranjero con el programa ATRAE. Sin duda, a estos también les dejarán colgados cuando acaben el contrato. Miserable gestión de la ciencia en España.
Nos han llegado consultas en estos años sobre esta situación que no se entiende.
¿Para qué sirven las listas de candidatos seleccionados y los que quedan ordenados en reserva?

Why are human MERS-CoV infections rare in Africa despite widespread camel infections? 🐪
We reviewed ~1,000 studies and found:
🧪 2–3% of camel-exposed individuals have antibodies—many infections go unnoticed.
🐫 Young camels are ~15% virus positive and drive viral spread.

🐪🦠 Publicamos un artículo que describe la circulación activa del #MERS-CoV en un matadero de #dromedarios en el norte de #Kenia, utilizando una test comercial de antígeno rápido. A pesar de la endemicidad del virus en esa región, no observamos infecciones graves en humanos👇
