Yesterday, Calgary City Council voted to allow non-citizens to cast ballots in civic elections. In my mind, only Canadian citizens should be able to vote in federal, provincial and municipal elections.
Although we welcome people from around the world to work and live in Alberta, in order to vote, one must commit to Canadian citizenship. That’s how it works.
I applaud Minister of Municipal Affairs, Ric McIver, for taking action to ensure integrity in our democratic institutions.

Today is National Ag Day 🇺🇸
Although Canadian, I have been lucky enough to do a little farming south of the 49th, down in Georgia. This photo is from the combine, harvesting 🌽 in Tennille, GA with 3H Farms.
Make sure you show your love & appreciation for farmers. #ifican 🇺🇸🇨🇦

In a field loaded with Canadian, world and Olympic champs, it’s a rink from the North that’s helped steal the headlines so far at this year’s Montana’s Brier.
Jamie Koe is looking to get NWT into the Brier playoffs for first time since 2012. #Brier2024
