31 years ago tonight I broke Graeme Obree”s Scottish Hour Record on a 50x14 gear at the outdoor velodrome at Meadowbank in Edinburgh which unfortunately has since been knocked down since then.
Doesn't feel like 32 years ago myself and big brother Kenny represented Scotland at the Commonwealth Games, one of the proudest moments of my career was walking into the opening Ceremony with the kilt on, hope all the athletes competing and helping get the same buzz as we got🚴🏴
Good luck to everyone taking part in tomorrow’s 50 miles Highland Cross Duathlon which raises an amazing amount of money for local charities, I was lucky enough to win it 29 years ago. 🏃♂️ 🚴🏆🏴
Happy World Bicycle Day. 🚴

Today is my last day at Bikes of Inverness after over 37 years, semi retirement for me as I have a 18 hours a week job doing Tesco deliveries which the hours are amazing leaving me with most daytime hours to myself for the 🚴 and lunches and time with Lynn.
A podcast I did with Joseph Marcello recently which has made t1determined first podcast of 2026 speaking about what I’ve done since being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2008.

Worth going the short drive out to Dores on the banks of Loch Ness where I spent a lot of my childhood to see tonight’s sunset.
Merry Christmas to everyone from the Riddle Clan, Slàinte. 💙🏴 🥃
Happy St Andrews day to all Scots past and present wherever you are, enjoy your day 'Slàinte Mhath' ('Good Health')
Did my first run for a few years this afternoon albeit not very fast or far, 5km so I think I’ll be a tad tender tomorrow.
11 years ago we lost big Aldo who was like a brother to myself and Kenny, never a day goes by that I don’t rub my Buddha and think of the Big Man who had the confidence in me to give me the Scottish cycling career I had as our manager. Xx @ScottishCycling
