This now makes so much more sense to me. Rather than reinvent themselves, or deploy new tech in the field, we can truly understand the US shale revolution as being triggered by the release of Excel 2007 and the liberation of executives from spreadsheets.

Even with Alberta's grid an electric vehicle emits about half the amount of carbon on a life cycle basis.
