So sad to hear @steve_lamacq is leaving his @BBC6Music show full time.
What a legend and hugely influential person he’s been to so many of us especially @IdlewildtheBand. I’ll be forever grateful to him for all his support and also friendship. All the best for the future! ❤️

3 years ago today we had a listening party for 100 Broken Windows by Idlewild. You can find the replay here timstwitterlisteningparty.co… Tweets from @IdlewildtheBand @DaveEringa @RoddyWoomble @RodJonesMusic #TimsTwitterListeningParty #ttlp232
This song is effortlessly cool. Exudes confidence that comes from a band being in a real purple patch. Perfect lyrical delivery as always from Hamish against a band just in the groove. So good. Made my job easy. #TimsTwitterListeningParty
A perfect vehicle for @sjcrain who just takes this to another level. Two great voices working in perfect harmony. #TimsTwitterListeningParty
One version of many good versions. Maybe they’ll let you hear another one soon….. #TimsTwitterListeningParty
This one was great fun to record. It took ages to make the guitar sound like a stylophone. We should have used a stylophone. #TimsTwitterListeningParty
Desperately was the first demo I heard before we started on this album and just showed how accomplished the band had become at smashing out bangers with apparent ease. #TimsTwitterListeningParty
There was a really special collective grin that went round as @annabsavage sang on this. We all knew something great just happened. #TimsTwitterListeningParty
