RIP Dame Barbara Windsor, a unique national treasure! I conducted her 70th Birthday celebration concert for the BBC, just before her illness became public, or indeed apparent. She was charming, feisty and great fun to work with. The love from the audience was palpable!
Looking forward to collaborating with the super talented Martin James Bartlett again for Ravel's fabulous concerto on Sunday March 1st. Copland & Brahms too...a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Tickets here: assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk/…/rtwso-martin-james-…
Looking forward to this one, the first concert devoted to movie scores in the orchestra's 97 year history! @rtwso
Having a chat to James Pearson ahead of our "Giants of Jazz" concert with the Halle on November 24th. youtu.be/XslbdLAuz18
