New PFP for Reed is special.

Reed Sheppard’s girlfriend Brailey on the look: Safe to say it will not last.

Thoughts on Reed Sheppard’s new look?

Alperen Sengun: “I’ve been an All-Star two times but that’s not enough. I want to be there every year. I don’t ever want to think if I’m going to make it or not. I know I’m going to go there.”

Alperen Sengun on Rockets assistant and shot guru Chip Engelland: “I hear a lot of stories. A lot of good things about him.” “We have all eight, nine months to spend. I’m really excited to work with him. I feel like there’s nothing wrong with my shot, it’s all in my head. That’s what I want to get in and improve with him.”

Rockets rookie Bruce Thornton says his favorite thing about Houston so far is the food. “Definitely fire.” loves Mexican food, and found a taco spot already close to where he stays.

“The team is better when I’m on the court” Kevin Durant regarding talks of getting his minutes down this season. “I get the concern, but if the game needs me to be out there, I want to be out there.”

Kevin Durant says they “never talk like that in the locker room” regarding expectations. Says they will let the chips fall where they may. “We’ve got to come to work everyday and show up. Can’t wait for that.”

YEAR 2 OF KD AS A ROCKET 🔜

Marcus Smart says he does see similarities between the Rockets teams of the past few years and some of his Celtics teams when they were young. In terms of inexperience and playoff shortcomings. “Everything is for a reason. You have to go through those battles, those storms, to get to the rainbow.”

Marcus Smart on Amen Thompson: “He’s already got it, that mentality. He’s gonna be really good.” “He’s going to be great, I have a lot to learn from him as well… to be able to move how he is moving is incredible. I plan to be a part of his journey as well.” 🔥🔥

Amen Thompson: “This offseason I really wanted to work on becoming more vocal, being a leader.” On Marcus Smart: “Have another guy to learn from, DPOY at that, it’s gonna be really good for me. He got the tricks. He knows the defensive tricks. I’ve got to learn some of those.”

“Yeah for sure.” Amen Thompson on if not making an All-Defensive team is motivation for this season. Says he didn’t deserve to make one last season. “I want to be a premier defender. I want to make those teams every year.”

Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. says Amen Thompson has grown as a vocal leader. “He’s just talking a lot, putting guys in spots… he’s seeing the game a little different. He’s talk a lot more, even on defense he’s talking a lot more.” Also says Thompson’s game (jumpshot, ball handling) is improving as well.
