Psyonix sets a release date for Rocket League: July 7 on PS4 and PC. It will support cross-play between the two, one of the few games to do so. The PS4 version also gets an exclusive unlockable car, Sweet Tooth, the ice cream truck from Twisted Metal.

No engine change has been announced. Rocket League runs on Unreal Engine 3, and the studio's near-term priority is shipping this summer. A later move to Unreal Engine 4 would be a sensible way to keep the game from aging, so it is plausible Psyonix revisits this after launch.
