Europe is producing world-class founders, frontier technologies and ambitious scale-ups. The next challenge is ensuring these companies have strong exit pathways so that value, talent and capital can continue to grow within Europe.
In a new article for the LSE Blog, @Juanita64738981, Associate Professor at LSE and Co-Director of the Financial Markets Group, together with @RobynVidra from King’s Business School, examine why Europe’s focus should not be on pressuring founders to list domestically or directing capital through policy measures alone.
Instead, they argue that Europe needs to make exits — through IPOs and acquisitions — attractive enough that staying becomes the rational choice.
