The voters of #NJ07 will remember that their Congressman was happy to turn the power of Congress over to a #MadKing. Here @CongressmanKean thanks Trump for plunging our nation into war without so much as asking Congress for authorization.
The world is a far safer place without Iranian nuclear sites. Thank you to President Trump and our second-to-none American military for carrying out this successful series of strikes. It is time for security and peace for all.

The ultimate case of "obeying in advance."
ALERT: Special Counsel Jack Smith files in DC federal court "As a result of the election held on November 5, 2024, the defendant is expected to be certified as President-elect on January 6, 2025, and inaugurated on January 20, 2025. The Government respectfully requests that the Court vacate the remaining deadlines in the pretrial schedule to afford the Government time to assess this unprecedented circumstance and determine the appropriate course going forward consistent with Department of Justice policy. By December 2, 2024, the Government will file a status report or otherwise inform the Court of the result of its deliberations. The Government has consulted with defense counsel, who do not object to this request.."

This traces back decades to the rise of "shock jocks" and right-wing talkers on radio, railing against "political correctness," pushing the bounds of decency and fostering an us-vs-them mentality among their mostly white and mostly male audiences.

When the ACA gets repealed, the blue states should form a treaty alliance to create a massive big blue health care market that provides affordable health care for citizens in blue states with the ACA features. If those states form a common market, they can negotiate drug

Is anyone in govt or media taking seriously the glaring discrepancies between registration/turnout surges and low vote totals? Or the cases where down-ticket Dems greatly outperformed Harris? We're all votes counted? Are we sure?

Glad to see this straight talk from @AP - the headline at the top of its homepage right now: "Trump is using election lies to lay the groundwork for challenging 2024 results if he loses" apnews.com/article/trump-che…

Dodger McBonespurs says what?
Replying to @atrupar
Trump on Liz Cheney: "If you give Liz Cheney a gun and put her into battle facing the other side with guns pointing at her, she wouldn't have the courage or the strength or the stamina to even look the enemy in the eye."

Peter Baker trying really hard to make us think there's something wrong with a presidential candidate standing on her own two feet and not clinging to the less-popular incumbent.
Biden will not attend Harris’s speech tomorrow at the Ellipse, the park just south of the White House. Biden is scheduled to travel to Baltimore tomorrow to tout his domestic agenda. @KannoYoungs nytimes.com/live/2024/10/28/…

"an event billed as delivering the closing message of his campaign, with nine days left in a tossup race, had instead become a carnival of grievances, misogyny and racism." Instead??? No, that *was* the closing message, summing up his campaign & the fascist movement he leads.
Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday was a release of rage at a political and legal system that impeached, indicted and convicted him, a vivid and at times racist display of the dark energy animating the MAGA movement. nyti.ms/3Yvcq6u

Watergate would not be a scandal today because no one would cover or prosecute Republican crimes.
It cannot be overstated how big a political scandal this would have been in any other era Watergate-level

Not just war. Total war. Where nothing and no one is spared.
Israeli invasion of south Lebanon has destroyed and flattened towns, people's homes & livelihoods. Shops, schools, mosques, clinics flattened. This is war. It happens to people. nytimes.com/interactive/2024…

Biden was right to respond with support and solidarity. It was also right to expect him, at some point over the last year, to pivot to real pressure to end the war and save human lives. He never did. From @mattduss trib.al/OXvRlKS

Trump has never shown any interest in *winning over* voters. He doesn't care about the popular vote. He expects to be capture the presidency via the machinations of his lawyers, loyal legislators, 'his' judges and justices - and mobs riled up by his lies.

It's not a Detroit thing. I get the same emails naming my small town in New Jersey. Agree it's a dumb message, tho.
The Harris campaign thinks I'm a man named John from Detroit and sends me condescending emails. "We know it might seem wild that someone from *Detroit* could get the chance to meet the future POTUS." Um, why? No place in the US should be treated with such contempt, but also Detroit is a major city where plenty of people have met a president!

>MAGA is an organized crime syndicate where they all kick up to the boss. Exactly. And that crime mob will run the country if Trump wins.
There is literally only one Bible sold in America that meets this criteria & that is Trump’s Bible. So Ryan Walters is trying to send millions in tax dollars intended for school kids into Trump’s pocket. MAGA is an organized crime syndicate where they all kick up to the boss.

So, they're suicidal? A 'more severe attack' will bring more severe retaliation, and how do the Iranian commanders expect that to end ?

It gets harder and harder and harder, and just really really hard, to believe our justice system is capable of - or interested in - holding rich, white and powerful people to account for anything.
BREAKING: Judge Chutkan has Jack Smith's full immunity brief under seal with his proposed redactions, & has ordered Trump to file his objections to those redactions by 10/10. She will decide how much to release to the public after that, but doesn't indicate how long she will take.
