This robot climbs steel walls like a machine from the future. 🤖🧲
Magnetic wheels let it move vertically across ferromagnetic surfaces, making robots like this useful for ship hull cleaning, rust removal, inspection and painting.
Instead of sending workers onto dangerous surfaces, the robot can bring the tools to the wall.
Would you trust a robot to maintain the outside of a ship? 👀

Meet Argus a 20-legged spherical robot from Duke University designed to move and see in virtually every direction.
Each leg carries a depth camera, giving the robot a near-360° view while its unusual geometry lets it navigate forests, sand and rough terrain.
Robots don’t always need to look human sometimes, they need to break the rules.

Forget wheels. The next Mars explorer might walk.
Swiss researchers tested ANYmal — a four-legged robot — at the University of Basel’s “Marslabor.” It completed science missions 3x faster than human-guided runs (12–23 min vs. 41 min), with the same accuracy.
Wheeled rovers cover just a few hundred meters/day and wait 4–22 minutes for every command from Earth. ANYmal hunted biosignature minerals like gypsum autonomously — no babysitting from JPL required.
The future of planetary science isn’t faster wheels. It’s smarter legs.
