First week of dora + aloha Can do Teleop + Replay with dora-rs github.com/dora-rs/dora We achieve 2ms latency between arms using rustypot github.com/pollen-robotics/r… Arms: trossenrobotics.com/aloha-ki… Thanks Huggingface + Trossen + Pollen for the help 😋

🔥 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗘 🔥 - aims to replace ROS - 😱 NEW robotics framework - called Dora-rs. ⚡️A super impressive replacement of ROS (the Robot Operating System), for those who know, one of the pain-point to lower the entry barrier in robotics. 🤗Dora-rs is much much easier to install and fully integrate in a python ecosystem. it's in Rust, using Apache Arrow, full of modern practices. They are just starting but already really amazing work @HaixuanT and team. I am excited to share a new study led by Shachar Givon & @MatanSamina w/ Ohad Ben Shahar: Goldfish can learn to navigate a small robotic vehicle on land. We trained goldfish to drive a wheeled platform that reacts to the fish’s movement (authors.elsevier.com/a/1eEnu…).

Solderless header for quick prototyping 🔌🔧👩‍🔧 We got a request from some folks for "solder-less pin header" - these snap-apart headers look just like your regular pin headers but they have a little slot in the shorter end that can make a cold-contact with pads on a PCB. only thing is, since they are wedged in, you need some good leverage and it takes a few tries to get the hang of it. but they do work, we checked continuity! for quick prototyping, these could be kinda handy. coming soon to the adafruit shop....

Minimec’s full design used ODrives and other off-the-shelf components, keeping custom parts to a minimum, and were able to stay focused on their application. Check out the project’s source code: github.com/maxipalay/minimec… #odrive #robotics #offtheshelf #tracking

Has anyone tried to use ebike battery like this for robot project? a.co/d/f6G8bqF. Was looking for something reasonably priced that is >= 36V and 20AH for driving some beast motors.

What an amazing build my friend! Just a great idea with the metal plate! 🤩 For all of you that want to rebuild it. The DeLorean time machine model is free on @Cults3D cults3d.com/:34761
Today I completed a wonderful build. A lightly augmented flying DeLorean Time Machine, hovering in front of a “Displate”. Original model by @LayerLux3D

I think we need to merge the data from this hotel with that of the Odom Hotel.😂
Inertial System Performance will be at its best if you visit this hotel (no offense, not ad)

Installed this Raspberry Pi 5 case and its one of the cleanest and simple designs I have seen - if you are looking for a new case for RPi5 and you have already purchased official active cooler like me, give this a consideration - a.co/d/7yMsGel. [not affiliate link]

People who know me, know that I am passionate about #robotics and building tools that make roboticists more efficient. Which tool doesn't exist, but would make your life easier, if it did? Which ones do exist, but can be improved? github.com/facontidavide
