Des vidéos 👇montrent que la marche ciblait aussi les dérives policières. Un sujet avivé par la suspension, la veille de la manif, de policiers du SPVM accusés d'actes dégradants (dont un agent ayant uriné sur un itinérant au centre-ville)

This is one of 3 granite menhirs at Le Plessis in Le Bernard (Vendée) set 100m apart to form a triangle but one was destroyed in 1860. This one is 3.6m tall and it was said that at night fairies would force passers by to join in their dances. Card by Poupin in Mortagne c.1905.

Malignant Narcissists/psychopaths (human predators) ‘triangulate’ which means they engage a third person in a dynamic to undermine their victim. This is an insidious tactic and more complex than just simple gossip, for example. It may be done publicly or privately. It weakens the victim, either through causing the victim uncertainty and insecurity if it is done publicly or causing people to have negative attitudes towards the victim if it is done privately. Triangulation may involve, for example, telling lies to a third party about the victim, engaging professionals in false narrative about the victim which is written into medical records, or engaging a person’s children in lies about the victim (the children’s other parent) etc. The depth and complexity of the false narrative is almost impossible for the victim to pull back from. Publicly, the human predator might subtly flirt with another person in front of their partner, they may demean a person in a workplace, or they may imply someone in a religious congregation has done something inappropriate. Sometimes human predators use triangulation to pit two people against each other, telling both parties negative things about the other that are untrue. Sometimes people on social media may create false accounts and interact with them on social media to triangulate and spread negative false information. The human predator does this for control and for sadistic enjoyment. They may also do it to punish someone who has exposed them or thwarted them in achieving a goal.

Such awful news from the military base at Wainwright, Alberta, with multiple lives lost and many badly injured. My heart goes out to families and friends, with impact across our armed forces. Immense gratitude to the first responders and medics on the scene.

Pluto was discovered in 1930 by American astronomer Clyde Tombaugh and was long considered the ninth planet of the Solar System. Due to its enormous distance of about 5–6 billion kilometers from Earth, detailed study of this dwarf world remained impossible for a long time. In 2006, the same year Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet, NASA launched the New Horizons mission, which became the first spacecraft to reach the Pluto system. After a nine-year journey, on July 14, 2015, the probe made a historic flyby at a distance of about 12,500 km from Pluto’s surface. The spacecraft transmitted detailed images and data on the geology, atmosphere, and moons, including Charon, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, and Styx. One of the main discoveries was the heart-shaped Tombaugh Regio (Sputnik Planitia), covered in nitrogen ice and showing signs of geological activity. Ice mountains, possible cryovolcanoes, ancient channels, and evidence of a subsurface ocean were found on Pluto, which surprised scientists. Transmitting all the data to Earth took several years because of the great distance and low communication speed. After Pluto, New Horizons continued operating in the Kuiper Belt and explored the object Arrokoth in 2019. Although concepts for future orbital missions, such as Persephone, have been proposed, no new expedition to Pluto has yet been approved or launched.

Mummy Mask of King Shoshenq II King Shoshenq II was a pharaoh of Egypt’s 22nd Dynasty, a royal house of ancient #Libyan ancestry, during the Third Intermediate Period, around 890 B.C. Believed by some Egyptologists to have been a son of Osorkon I and a descendant of Shoshenq I, he belonged to a dynasty whose Libyan forebears had risen to occupy the Egyptian throne. His reign remains something of an enigma, perhaps lasting only a year or two, although scholars continue to debate whether he ruled independently or alongside another king. Little survives of his political achievements, yet his remarkable burial at Tanis, discovered in 1939, preserved an extraordinary legacy of royal splendour, including a magnificent silver coffin and exquisite gold funerary ornaments. The mask is from Tanis and is now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. JE 72163 Read more: egypt-museum.com/inside-tomb…

A 30 percent vitamin C solution dissolved in DMSO cleared 86 percent of basal cell skin cancer lesions within eight weeks in a clinical trial. In a randomized study published in Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, researchers tested a topical mix of high-concentration ascorbic acid and dimethyl sulfoxide, a solvent that helps substances penetrate deeply into the skin. Applied twice daily for eight weeks, the combination produced complete clearance in 13 of 15 lesions (86.7 percent) among patients with low-risk basal cell carcinoma. This rate exceeded that of the standard topical treatment imiquimod, which cleared 8 of 14 lesions (57.1 percent). The vitamin C–DMSO formulation also caused fewer side effects and avoided the lasting skin hypopigmentation sometimes seen with conventional topical therapies. Because basal cell carcinoma is the most common form of skin cancer worldwide, these early results suggest a possible low-cost, non-invasive option. Larger trials are still required before the approach can be adopted as standard care. [Burke, B., & Bailie, J.-E. (2022). Randomized trial of topical ascorbic acid in DMSO versus imiquimod for the treatment of basal cell carcinoma. Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, 148, 112710. DOI: 10.1016/j.biopha.2022.112710]

Horemheb recieves the “Gold of Honour” (nbw n ḥswt), c. 1333–1319 B.C. This finely carved limestone relief once adorned the tomb chapel of Horemheb, at a time when he was still a general serving under Tutankhamun. It records a moment of high ceremonial theatre, showcasing Horemheb’s huldiging, or formal honouring, for military and diplomatic success. At the centre, attendants place heavy gold collars around Horemheb’s neck. This is the celebrated “Gold of Honour” (nbw n ḥswt); not a casual gift, but Ancient Egypt’s highest royal reward for loyal service. Such collars, often fashioned from rows of gold beads or crescent-shaped plaques, proclaimed royal favour as visibly as a modern medal. To wear them was to be publicly marked as a man close to the king. Behind the general stretches a long procession arranged in registers. Prisoners of war are deliberately carved with foreign features and dress, set apart from their Egyptian guards. Victory, order, and hierarchy are all rendered in stone. Now at the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden. H.III.PPPP Read more: egypt-museum.com/the-honouri…
