I lead Ops and Internal AI at Ramp. AI usage at Ramp is up 6,300% year over year with 99.7% of employees active on AI tools. We're shipping 1,000+ internal apps and agents every month, mostly with non-engineers. 12% of all PRs to our production codebase now come from people who aren't engineers. It's chaotic, exhilarating, and still in the early innings.
I wrote about how we got here — no dedicated team, no real budget, just a culture that turned out to be the right raw material and a lot of compounding.

Calls still coming in but something new happened today:
30min call instead of an hour
They did the whole research with ChatGPT prior to the call
all they wanted was for me to go over it confirming or denying
I still don't know if I lost $125 or won $125
Having said that, 2 calls this week + 1 survey.

I joined McKinsey at 22 and worked 9-11-6 for 2 years.
I would do it again.
If you don't know which startup to pick, McK gives you an 8/10 experience, guaranteed.
But if you come across some company like @mercor you must try to join.
10/10 opportunity to maximize learning.
If speed is the most important element in startup success. @mercor will win.
They work 9-9-6.
That is 9AM-9PM, 6 days per week.
The average age of Mercor employee… 22.

I just did a 1h call and got paid $250
The client is probably being charged $1.000/h by the expert network (GLG, AlphaSights etc.)
They typically ask so many basic stuff that I think:
1) These expert networks are fucked
2) I should start saying goodbye to this "vacation money"
I'm an ex-McKinsey and I'm 100% sure that this is not going to replace it.
If you think it will, you don't know what McKinsey really does.
