the European Court of Human rights, set up to prevent the atrocities of World War 11 ever happening again, is there to protect the people .. us.. from the State. I’d say we should be pretty worried about our Govts threat to come out of it… or have we become sheep?

This is a school meal in Rome. France has similar high standards. Why do we contract out children’s school meals to the lowest bidder, when nutrition is an important factor in health & child development.

Our founder @Rob_Platts opens with how hard it has been to get the discrimination legislation through in the last 15 years but so relieved it’s passed. Asks us all to understand more about our #HumanRights and to campaign for them in #Guernsey – at Bailiwick of Guernsey, United Kingdom

"HEAL and the Guernsey Cancer Alliance absolutely agree with thousands of islanders in expecting Health & Social Care to admit that they have made a mistake and reverse their decision. We urge Health & Social Care to level up Emergency Department charges, not level down.

If HSC was really interested in equity every patient having to attend the ED out of hours, as a direct result of current secondary care treatment, should not have to weigh up whether they can afford the cost first. Our Healthcare system is on a dangerous path.

Short 🧵that feels apt for this week. As a relevant aside, here's my favourite MM quote: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." @GDA_Disability 👇

Replying to @BBCGuernsey
@BBCGuernsey Amendment 8 to the Discrimination Ordinance, in effect, sanctions discrimination by small employers. Guernsey should be maximising job opportunities and removing barriers to employment not putting up new ones.

A well written and balanced view on Guernsey's Discrimination Ordinance. My view? - with a few tweaks, the draft will accurately represent the agreed policies which themselves achieve a fair balance between rights holders and duty bearers edition.pagesuite-profession…

It was a real shame to see so few deputies at the two seasons we ran. Young people have voted that EDI Equality Diversity & Inclusion is their number 1, concern yet we still fail to attract the deputies that need it most to the conversation. What can we do differently? #Inclusion – at Bailiwick of Guernsey, United Kingdom
