San Francisco is buzzing around agentic commerce @AIconference 🤖
Lindsay Walker’s session was packed, and the conversations after it made one thing clear: companies across e-commerce, payments, and enterprise are actively exploring how AI agents can automate work and move value.
One reaction kept coming up from e-commerce teams: “How do we get started?”
With low-cost value transfer on Hedera, the next big piece is making on- and off-ramping seamless.
AI agents + payments + stablecoins are becoming a very real conversation for the present of commerce.

BREAKING: Hedera developers have introduced a portable global identity standard for AI agents.
The goal is to give agents a persistent, verifiable identity that can move across different networks, registries and communication protocols.
Today, agent identity is fragmented.
An agent operating through MCP, A2A, a blockchain account, an API service or a decentralized registry can exist under completely different identity systems.
The new standard creates a universal identifier that remains consistent across those environments while still mapping back to the agent’s native protocol, registry or account.
That creates a common identity layer for:
• Cross-protocol discovery
• Routing and communication
• Cryptographic verification
• Credentials and attestations
• Persistent identity across systems
No central issuing authority is required.
The framework supports deterministic identities derived from public inputs, as well as self-sovereign identities based on existing W3C decentralized identifiers.
The standard also separates identity from reputation.
The identifier establishes who the agent is and how it can be resolved. Trust, performance history and reputation can then be layered on through credentials, attestations and external reputation systems.
The draft is known as HCS-14: Universal Agent ID Standard.
If autonomous agents are going to operate across a global network of systems, and they are, they need an attestable, verifiable identity that moves with them.

Great to see Hedera Council representation on the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform 👀
Trust and safety are what the AI economy needs to scale responsibly.
Today, with over 100 industry partners, we introduced the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform, bringing together OpenShell and Sentry.
Artificial intelligence is extraordinary technology that will advance discovery, productivity, security, health, and prosperity for generations to come.
But its full promise can only be realized when people have confidence that AI is being built to be safe and deployed with wisdom and responsibility.
This is bigger than a single product. It's the beginning of an open ecosystem to build the trust layer for safe agent systems.
Together, we are building the foundation of the AI economy.
Trust and innovation are not in conflict. Safety is how trust is earned. We must build not only the most capable AI, but the most trusted AI, so that this extraordinary technology can realize its enormous promise for the world. nvda.ws/4hcoq7m

1/ CLPR is open source! And the HIP proposing it for Hiero is public now. Cross-ledger messaging is built on state proofs, so each ledger verifies the other's committed state using only the two ledgers' own consensus guarantees. A short overview 🧵👇

✨NEW: HIP-1535 introduces CLPR, a Cross-Ledger Protocol that represents a fundamental shift in how Hiero networks connect to other blockchains using direct, cryptographic verification of each ledger's own consensus, enabling secure cross-ledger messaging at scale while eliminating bridge validators, wrapped tokens, and intermediary trust.
