We see this situation arise time and time again, whereby our clients are being discouraged from entering work because the current benefit rules penalise people living in supported housing.
We support the removal of employment disincentives like the taper rates attached to the current benefit system, to help people in supported housing into work.
We sent an open letter, backed by 23 sector partners and businesses, to the Chancellor and the Secretary of State, calling for reforms in the benefits system to help young people in supported housing to access work.

Temperatures are set to drop below 0°C across various parts of the country in the next few days. Rough sleeping is always dangerous, but in the cold it can be fatal.
If you're worried about someone sleeping rough, please put in a referral to StreetLink at thestreetlink.org.uk who will connect them with the local outreach team.
