Honestly, I still can’t believe .@realDonaldTrump actually pulled off a deal for Greenland after everyone laughed it off years ago.
His administration just finalized an "Infinite Life" security pact with Denmark and Greenland—giving the U.S. permanent military and security control over the island.
Even if Greenland eventually votes for full independence, our basing and overflight rights are locked in forever.
For us in the U.S.—this is a massive win that puts up a permanent shield for North America.
It gives Washington absolute veto power to lock Russia and China out of building military bases or buying up Greenland's massive critical mineral reserves, all without costing American taxpayers a dime.
We basically just secured the future of the Arctic for generations to come.
