All of our thoughts are with those affected and responding.
A serious incident creating a major fire has occurred at CFB Wainwright, in Alberta. Our thoughts are with all the brave women and men affected.   We are working closely with the Government of Alberta and local authorities. Premier Smith and I are in close contact as are our relevant ministers and officials.

The Falkland Islands are a vibrant democratic community drawing in people of many nationalities. They choose their future. 🇫🇰
The Falkland Islanders have a right to develop their natural resources as they see fit. Today we have announced new measures under Protection of Trading Interests legislation to ensure people and companies are shielded from Argentinian threats. Attempts to intimidate those taking part in legitimate commercial activity are unacceptable. gov.uk/government/news/busin…

Joined @EvanLSolomon and @KanishkaNarayan to discuss stepping up 🇬🇧🇨🇦 collaboration on AI. Adopting the benefits, addressing the risks.
Trusted partners. Trusted AI. 🇨🇦🇬🇧 In London, I met with UK AI Minister @KanishkaNarayan to deepen cooperation between our AI safety institutes on model testing, evaluation and incident reporting. We also sat down with UK business leaders to grow trade between our two countries. Canada is building sovereign, safe AI that Canadians can trust. We're doing it with partners who share that goal.

Three years on, the horror of 7 October endures.
Three years ago, Hamas terrorists carried out the worst attack on Israel in its history, murdering 1,200 innocent people. I offer my deep condolences to those who lost loved ones. I send my solidarity to the people of Israel on the anniversary of this terrible act.

Lots to talk about at @neweconomycan’s reception. With CPTPP opening more doors for UK–Canada trade, there’s real scope to work together on clean energy as we aim for 95% clean electricity by 2030. 🇬🇧🇨🇦

Great that @DavidMcGuinty joined @JEFnations defence ministers for their meeting in Iceland. 🇬🇧 🇨🇦 and allies acting to enhance our readiness.
In Iceland, I’ve seen Britain and our Joint Expeditionary Force allies training to act fast when danger comes. Britain is leading the way in defending northern Europe, working with our neighbours to build the speed and agility we need to keep our people safe.

A day we will never forget.
On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we remember the nearly 3,000 people who were killed, including 67 Britons. My thoughts are with all those who lost friends and family members that terrible day. Time may pass, but I know the grief is still felt just as deeply today. On this anniversary, we must remember that hatred and fear did not have the last word on 9/11. The terrorists sought to weaken and divide America, and everyone who believes in the values our countries share. But our response was clear: those who seek to destroy our way of life will never win. I saw that same defiance in Greater Manchester. When I was Mayor, Manchester was the victim of two horrific terrorist attacks. I will never forget the messages of support and friendship from people across America who knew better than anyone the suffering of our city. Some of the children of those killed in the 9/11 attacks wrote to the families of the people killed in Manchester, and they said this: We are you and you are us. We are one. We will never forget these terrible events, but we refuse to be defined by them. Terror still knocks on the door of democracy, but the United Kingdom and the United States stand together in memory of those we lost, and in defence of the values we cherish. We are you and you are us. And we will prevail.

Thinking of all those affected by wildfire. And wishing @Dave_Eby and all those responding the best as you meet this challenge.
We've declared a provincewide State of Provincial Emergency as the new, fast-moving Bald Range wildfire forces thousands of people from their homes in the Summerland area.   At every step, we're focused on ensuring that emergency crews have the tools they need to protect people.
