It was so obvious at the time and so wild watching reporters on TV who clearly knew what he did be like “we cannot say for sure what’s in the heart of our new father”

Replying to @JDVance
You are 100% complicit. Your political career is over. America rejects you, you shamelessly unprincipled opportunist.

I'm confused, outraged, and upset by the lack of the world's reaction to the criminal Russian double-tap in Komyshuvakha.
Search and rescue operations have been underway for 3 days now following a Russian strike on a school. Russians launched 9 guided aerial bombs, initially targeting residents gathered to receive humanitarian aid, and then striking the first responders and police officers who arrived at the scene.
People were there to receive bread!
The death toll is currently at 40 people, with over 30 still missing, and after three days, considering the explosions were so strong that recovered bodies are actually "fragments," that means that they are likely gone too.
I can't understand why this is not news, why the f*** is this normalized???

Search and rescue operations have now been underway for three days at the site of the Russian strike on a school in the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Russians used nine aerial bombs. They first struck people who had come to receive humanitarian aid, and then first responders and police officers who arrived at the scene.
All necessary services are involved. It is an extremely difficult operation, very challenging, and it is being carried out under virtually constant threat of new Russian strikes. As of now, 40 people have been reported killed. Unfortunately, some bodies have not yet been identified. My condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed. More than 30 people may still be under the rubble.
Unfortunately, there has been very little reaction from the world to this insane attack. But it, like thousands upon thousands of other war crimes Russia has committed against Ukraine and Ukrainians, demands a strong response. Evil always goes further if it is left unanswered. We count on a response – Ukraine needs air defense support right now. I am grateful to the partners who are taking such steps.

There is so much good, balanced and insightful about the BBC’s football coverage - John Murray, Ian Dennis, Guy Mowbray, Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan, Kelly Dalglish, Alan Shearer and plenty more, including hugely respected voices across local radio, Nick Barnes, Giulia Bould, Adam Blackmore, Nick Godwin and many others. The BBC has good reporters covering Manchester United but a usually excellent website’s daily focus on Michael Carrick’s job prospects – in, out, in out, it’s like the Boat Race – has become wearisome when the real focus should be more on the Glazers.
They are far more responsible for the systemic mess at United? The Glazers. Carrick may well be out of his depth in a job that has already defeated more famous managers. But he’s faced the challenge, and faced up to the media, with dignity.
All media obsesses about United (see my timeline tbf), always huge news. But the BBC, the national broadcaster, whose values include “the provision of impartial, high-quality and distinctive output”, has to be balanced - and never forget that there’s a human being in the headlines.

Ukrainian refugee, Victoria Sparta, who became a member of Congress and voted against aid to Ukraine has been flushed out last night.
Victoria Spartz loses US congressional election
Republican Victoria Spartz has lost to Democrat J.D. Ford in the race for Indiana’s 5th Congressional District seat in the House of Representatives.
Spartz was born in 1978 in Nosivka, Chernihiv region, Ukraine, and moved to the United States in 2000. She was first elected to Congress as a Republican in 2020.
After Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Spartz initially supported Kyiv and voted in favour of US aid. However, she later changed her position.
In April 2024, she voted against a major aid package for Ukraine worth more than $60 billion.
The congresswoman repeatedly criticised Zelensky, at times resorting to outright insults.
