Are NYC and CA actually still part of the US? The governors and mayors refuse to cooperate with the federal agencies. They have laws that violate the constitutional rights of Americans.
As time goes on won't this get worse? When will they feel like different countries?
As all of our institutions are captured by wokeness, our society will in fact become the dystopian nightmare they want.
So I just had X require that I use a PHONE to verify that I'm human using biometric data. They wanted a picture of my face so I used a picture of someone else's face. But this dystopian future is becoming the present very quickly.
Am I the only weirdo who thinks our society and perhaps the entire First World is circling the drain?

I think it is a superb remake. I will get grief for that and I do not mind. It is not a photocopy of '87 and it is not the plot of The Hellbound Heart either.
Barker already put the book on screen the first time. This one starts a new mess and still feels like his rules: you open the box because you want something, then the bill arrives.
The performances hold all the way through. Clayton’s Priest is cold. The lore is the hunger, not just the hook.
The box has manners. It does not jump out of a cupboard. You solve it. You invite them. There is a configuration and a cost and a bit of ceremony before the room changes. That is why it scares me more than a man who kicks a door in. You did this on purpose.I loooove the original. I like this one for remembering Hellraiser was never only a chain in a room.
At this point I'm pretty sure that America is lost. I kinda don't want to read about the downward spiral anymore. I think maybe I'll just disappear into rural areas and live out my life playing chess and restoring classic cars until I die of cancer.
