It’s come to a pretty pass when someone can’t watch the Rugby League World Cup on a channel that supports the sports all season round.
I’ve watched the RL for well over 25 years so I’m a relative newcomer.
I searched the listings … BBC … Sky Sports … TNT … NO!!!
Premier … sorry but that’s your lot another subscription for another channel … enough already.
Watching Bury v Harrogate Town on the BBC Red Button …

FT: Argyle 0 Huddersfield 2
A very disappointing performance from Argyle, who were no match for an excellent Huddersfield side.

Thank you to TalkSPORT radio for the chance to talk about the new book - Programmes! A History Through Football Programmes - this afternoon on the Hawksbee and Jacobs show @PitchPublishing
Slippery slope for journalism. I’ve written sponsored content myself since freelancing after 25 years at News UK. Every article was clearly marked as sponsored or advertorial, declaring any vested interest. I’m also from an era when paper’s produced their own supplements in-house
I would never send something to Private Eye. Not my style. But I applaud the person responsible here, because it is a real issue for our industry and the @SportSJA would rather hand out awards than recognise the threat posed here to the journalists they’re meant to represent.

Had a lovely chat with the We Are Terriers podcast about embedding within Huddersfield Town over the course of a season, and the information gap about how football clubs actually work every day.
Second feature in the series out tomorrow

Australia and New Zealand, here he comes.
MND is of course a global scourge. Once it was hidden and not talked about. Now it's in the light. It's an intolerable illness and has to be defeated.
'I made a commitment for life'
Rugby League legend Sir Kevin Sinfield told #BBCBreakfast he wants to take his next major challenge and his message on research and funding for MND to Australia and New Zealand next year

Sir Kevin Sinfield and the 7 IN 7 team — take a bow. 🧡
7 ultramarathons in 7 days.
£1.3 million raised for MND charities.
Thousands of supporters showing up every step of the way.
To our incredible community, volunteers, people affected by MND, everyone who donated, everyone who ran, and everyone who cheered them on: thank you.
What you have all achieved this week is extraordinary. The money raised, the conversations started and the awareness created will help bring us closer to a world free from MND.
And to Sir Kev and the whole 7 IN 7 team, thank you. 🧡
