Happy Saturday - cheers 🍻 🚨 TERRORIST MUNIR FAROOQI DIES IN PRISON WHILE SERVING FOUR LIFE SENTENCES Munir Farooqi, who ran a Taliban recruitment operation from an Islamic book stall in Longsight, Manchester, has died at HMP Frankland in County Durham. Farooqi joined the Taliban after the September 11 attacks and was captured in Afghanistan in November 2001 before being released by Pakistani authorities. Back in Manchester, he used his family home to produce extremist propaganda and recruited people to the Taliban through his book stall. His targets included undercover police officers, whose infiltration helped expose his operation. In 2011, he was convicted of preparing acts of terrorism, three counts of soliciting murder and disseminating terrorist publications. Described by the judge as a “dangerous extremist”, he received four life sentences with a minimum term of nine years. His appeal was dismissed in 2013. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman is investigating his death. The cause and circumstances have not yet been established.

He had brought sweets and a sex toy for his intended victims. The children were fictitious, and Ahmed had been communicating with an undercover police officer to arrange the encounters. When officers seized his phone, they discovered highly sexualised chat logs involving other children. Sentencing him, Judge Kirsty Real said she had no doubt Ahmed would have abused the children had they been real. Ahmed, from Newham, London, is now reportedly believed to be back with family in the area. Source UK Database.
