A Rufous Treecreeper ! One of the 213 species we managed to find over the past 3 weeks in Western Australia. A brilliant trip so far with all of our WA endemics found.. 46 lifers! Now for Tasmania… with @a1virginia

Nice views at our last stop for the day of a 2nd CY RING-BILLLED GULL which has been over summering at Costa Ballena. Also the long staying Red-knobbed Coot was showing well. With @a1Virginia

An excellent day yesterday in Cádiz, Spain with over 100 species seen including no less than 2 ELEGANT TERNS. This ad summer bird at Montijo Beach was joined by an adult winter bird, alongside good numbers for Black, Little, Common and Sandwich Terns. With @a1Virginia

An excellent early morning walk at Abbotscliffe with 11+ Whinchats, a Swift and a flow of Hirundines S . But the real MEGA was the CORNCRAKE that flew up in front of us and gave wonderful views! Thanks to @folkestonebirds for finding and alerting us! With @a1virginia @searleian

Walmer Beach this morning.. after some heavy over night rain, there was an obvious increase in Warbler numbers with c40 Willow Warblers, several Lesser Whitethroats, plenty of Blackcaps and C Whitethroats plus this showy Common Redstart. Also 8 Teal south. With @a1virginia

Walmer Beach 6.30-9am a relatively quiet morning livened up by ring-tail Hen Harrier arriving off the sea, a Bonxie south and a line group of 12 Whimbrel heading south! With @a1virginia

A few pics of the BONAPARTE ‘S GULL at Oare today. Returning for its 14th year! It can disappear amongst the Black- headed Gulls on the mud, but the shorter brighter legs, black bill, shorter neck and black (rather than brown) head are the things to look for! With @a1virginia
