I went skiing over the weekend. Took a photo of the Italian national ski team taking photos of the sunset.
Now you can see how many new posts you haven't read on the wordpress.com/reader. A small change that hopefully helps you stay more up to date. Feedback welcome.
Just had a cool @automattic moment. I sent a group text last night sharing some photos. Today, I thought, that would've made a good blog post.
In terminal, I pulled the text and photos from the @beeper CLI into a blog post draft with the WordPress MCP. Clicked the draft link to make a few edits, and boom, published my post and sent my newsletter.

We had a soft launch of @SpacefastHQ yesterday before our board meeting, @batuhan (and now a team!) have been cooking what I think is the future of @WordPress and AI. You don't have to know or think WordPress, but this leverages wp.cloud to give you a Real Database, auth, uploads, email, @akismet / @automattic spam protection, and soon stats.
The architecture is amazing I'd actually love to talk to @Lovable et al see if we can host things for them for less than they spend now.
Datacenter space and components are getting pricey... So we might have to limit signups to prioritize our @WordPressVIP customers but get in while you can!
so yesterday @batuhan gave me access to @SpacefastHQ and i got to play with the product, even transferred a project from cloudflare. actually, claude code did it
super seamless and agent friendly experience
i like cloudflare but its still too much for non dev vibe coders like me. spacefast just feels friendlier, better ui, better control, agent friendly from the ground up

Just got this email from WordPress. Glad to see them selling the idea that you don't need to give your soul to Substack to have a newsletter.

Inspired by @nerrad, out of the 50 PRs we shipped last week, here are my favorites for people that publish posts, newsletters and podcasts on @wordpressdotcom and @jetpack
The podcast stats calendar opens on the range you picked. What a concept. Choose a custom range a few months back, reopen it, and it used to land on the current month with your selection off screen.

The WordPress Reader feeds no longer show the same post over and over while earlier ones vanish off the list. Posts arriving without a feed item ID were colliding in the cache. Check out the Reader! Shout out @itsdavemartin

Paywall lives! The block was resetting the audience to public every time the editor refreshed. No longer.
