My time on the board at @SuffolkFA has come to an end.
I’ve been fortunate to have worked with some great people over the years & I wish the staff & the board all the best in the future.
Thank you to all those who have supported me within an organisation I hold in high regard.
Had a very insightful day yesterday at the @UniofSuffolk as part of the Civic East University Regional Network meeting.
It was really interesting to see all the collaborative thinking & the proactive work being carried out by local universities to benefit the community.
Yesterday I was privileged to be part of the Trail Makers Project, launching the Digital Blue Plaque Trail in Ipswich.
It was inspiring to see students bring local history to life & hear the story of Edward Caley by the students before unveiling a new Blue Plaque honouring him.
First school event of the year tonight representing @ITFCFoundation and showcasing the exciting opportunities for year 11 students ⚽️
We had a great rare weekend with no kids.
We had a laugh at Crystal Maze, Fairgame & the Stranger Things theatre show alongside some great food including the Ivy Asia.

Last week I ticked something off my football bucket list, participating in the @Gothia_Cup.
A fantastic event, showcasing talented youth footballers from across the world.
It amazed me how the whole city of Gothenburg embraced the tournament & made everyone feel welcome. 🇸🇪
This week I am in Sweden at the @Gothia_Cup with our U15 Suffolk County Schools’ FA boys team.
Tam, Danny & I have had a great experience so far & the boys finished 2nd in the group, progressing to the knockout stage tomorrow. 🇸🇪⚽️
Happy 40th Birthday to my beautiful wife Natalie Peace.
We have had a very good weekend away with the family, celebrating the big 40 as well as the mother in law’s 70th. 🎉🎂

This is a fantastic gesture from @IpswichTown. It shows how closely linked the club is to the local community.
It was great to be part of the initiative with @SuffolkFA & watch the launch all come together on the evening with the children’s excitement seeing the new kits.

The club has worked with Suffolk FA to offer all 115 registered grassroots youth football clubs in the county a grant to cover the cost of a full kit for one of their teams for the 2026/27 season. At the time of launch, more than 70 have accepted this offer with the process still open and more expected to follow. 👕
This represents a significant commitment from the club in support of the rich grassroots football scene in the county, and embodies the meaning behind the ‘Us And Our People’ mantra, which has become important to the club and signifies the connection between the players on the pitch and the community of Ipswich and Suffolk. 🏡
Reflecting back on our first tour to America, I am immensely proud of my staff & colleagues who provided a memorable trip for all the students who attended.
The trip marked a new chapter for the post 16 programme & something we want to replicate for more students in the future.
