GPT-4 was the undisputed best model in the world for a full year and we all debated whether anyone could catch up or if OpenAI had some secret formula that nobody else knew about.
Now there are are 19 AI models that can run on a modern smartphone that are better than GPT-4!
How would society be if living on the public purse meant suspending the right to vote?

And that is, of course, how it will be done.

The British civil service is larger now than at the peak of the Empire?
@grok really?
In 1922 the British Empire was larger than at any point in history. It extended to 24 percent of the total landmass of the whole world. At this time, the government had 300-350,000 civil servants. They had no computers, no electric typewriters, no calculators. Calculations that would take seconds today would take minutes or hours. Research that would take seconds today would take days and yet those 300-350,000 were able to do everything necessary to run a quarter of the planet. Today the British government employs 557,000 civil servants with computers and modern technology to run only Britain. I can’t help thinking that maybe we’re employing too many civil servants.

Lots more of this to come as AI super models enable vast cyberwarfare, I expect.
They’ll enable defense too, but that requires proactive action on the part of the vulnerable (unlikely).
🚨 Iran shut down a British power plant for four days in an unprecedented cyber attack, The Telegraph can disclose.
It is thought to be the first time that hackers affiliated to the Iranian regime have succeeded in closing down such a facility in the UK, and believed to be the most successful cyber attack of its kind ⤵️

Reparations from who? Will the Arab and local African slave traders and owners pay too? Or is this just anti-white racism from Ms. Abbot?
I asked it to merge main to my PR branch and it flat out refused, saying we need a stable test base. It did offer to still go ahead if I sat as the “human in the loop” but the tone felt a tad aloof.
I explained the reasoning and it still did it.
Overall it’s actually good - I want pushback and challenge from the agents where it represents good judgment.
Just felt the tone shift from the typical sycophantic style.
