As the NCAA women's hockey season nears, it seems a fitting time to remind the world there are SEVEN men's NCAA D1 programs in Michigan and ZERO women's NCAA D1 programs in the state: thehockeynews.com/womens/col…

Lack Of Michigan NCAA Teams A Loss For Women's Hockey

There are seven NCAA Division I men's teams in Michigan, there are zero women's teams. It's a loss for the sport in the hockey hot bed state.

I’ve worked with a lot of politicians & political staff over the past 25 years. I’ll tell you this: I’ve never met a political Chief of Staff who hasn’t been tied at the hip with the politician they serve. That’s the job - to do the bidding of the elected member. The idea that Ryan Amato, the Minister of Housing’s Chief of Staff, led what would be a highly contentious and smarmy process in direct conflict with public policy by selecting land for removal from the Greenbelt - and acted independently in doing so - is beyond ridiculous. It’s incredulous. Both the Premier and the Minister need to come clean. Maybe Ontarians were not paying attention before. But we are paying attention now. #GreenbeltScandal thestar.com/news/canada/doug…

If you can walk up to the Prime Minister and scream expletives about your freedom directly in his face, you might just live in a free country fuckwads.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but, "perfect" is cancelled until further notice. We're all experiencing this differently. Don't compare yourself to others. Don't compare it to "how it was before". Just do the best you can, & if that varies from one day to the next, that's ok.

The BWHA Board of Directors recently discussed the many unfortunate news stories regarding Hockey Canada's handling of sexual misconduct allegations and incidents. In response, the Board approved this statement, which you can also find on our BWHA.ca website.

I’m sorry but I can’t get this story out of my mind. A major sports organization in this country paid likely millions to buy the silence of a victim of a gang rape while the eight alleged perpetrators go untouched. How are we not outraged as Canadians? theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…
