A very simple and yet interesting method with promising results. Existing parameters used and validation provided. Excellent work @thomas_lindow and @mugander. @BSEcho @ASE360

As 3D volumes of ventricular size and function become ever more important in routine clinical assessment, please complete the following survey to detail your experiences utilising 3D echocardiography for LV and RV assessment.
Our Research and Audit Committee is partnering with @LHCHFT and @RBandH on a new survey to explore the role and place of 3D TTE in the assessment of left and right ventricle volumes and ejection fraction in the UK. Find out more: ow.ly/V0i150Ozkvo
Who cannot enjoy seeing a Tricuspid valve with a pacing lead in situ. Guess the leaflet impinged by the pacing lead resulting in severe TR. FYI, the mechanism was far easier to appreciate on 3D Imaging vs 2D imaging. @NMerke @dr_benoy_n_shah @nat_echo @BSEcho @ASE360
Having recently entered into the world of ACHD, I have been having fun with 3D Imaging. Acquire the dataset, crop it back and display the image anatomically. Who agrees you can appreciate the secundum ASD better in 3D? @BSEcho @ASE360 @BonitaEcho @cawest10 @boegel_kelly
Anyone wanting to learn more about ultrasound enhanced contrast imaging please check out the latest echo summit…..a stellar line up on speakers which I’m sure will highlight the essential benefit of adding contrast imaging to your practice.
2nd Contrast Echo Summit is almost here. Super excited to be co-hosting again with @GrantKingEcho ! Outstanding faculty with @DocStrom @HeartDocSharon @echonepean @dr_benoy_n_shah @drhazemlashin @kaznegishi Please show your support by RT with your network 🫶#echofirst @ASE360
Two significant achievements to demonstrate hard work, perseverance and great mentorship. Thank you Professor Jonathan Chan for guiding me through my PhD and thanks to @BSEcho for allowing me to be a candidate to gain TTE level 2 accreditation via the equivalency route.
PhD submitted today. Lots of hard work and sacrifice but lots of reward along the way with 5 publications awarded and one under review. To the future but many thanks to my principal supervisor Professor Jonathan Chan for his guidance and advice along the way.
Presented my PhD thesis on Friday prior to formal submission in the next 6 weeks. Supervisors and examiner were happy and now the final formatting to be done. 6 research chapters, 5 published and one close to submission.
A lovely piece of teaching. You can appreciate the SVC’s close proximity to the aorta and also the utility of off axis views.
As a PhD candidate who had never written for publication prior to commencing doctoral level studies, this initiative appears to be a helpful resource with some excellent mentorship available. Please consider if you have some data you want published. @BSEcho @ASE360
We're really excited about the possibilities of our #BSEWriteTime programme - it's a great opportunity for those on the journey to publication.

Cardiac scientists/sonographers/physiologists across the globe: When doing your day to day job…..what is the one thing you wished you had more time to incorporate routinely into your echo’s? Is it 3D imaging? Strain analysis? Thorough review of the chart? Thoughts?

For all you trainees and people working in the world of echo that wants or needs an update on the continuity equation to calculated AVA and MR. great summary @ChrissyTEcho @CKFreeEcho @GWhalleyPhD @nat_echo @BonitaEcho @MerriBremer @scrivsy85 @BiancaJudyC
Ok, it's #Tweetorial time. Today's topic: echo formulae. Specifically AVA and PISA. They oft cause angst and confusion among trainees so here's a quick primer on these #EchoFirst essentials...1/20...

Patient with non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy with severe RV dilatation&dysfunction, ICD lead seen, severe free TR. 3D image of TV from apical view. @lpbadano @denisamuraru @scrivsy85 @echoguru @boegel_kelly @GWhalleyPhD @vitormweaverBSE @robertomlang
Standard PLAX RV inflow. Thoughts of TV leaflets in this view? Anterior on top, posterior impinged by ICD lead down the bottom.
