Wow. They're either outsourcing staffers or minimizing personnel which could further negatively impact customer service. Not good.
Disney is expected to lay off thousands of staffers in his biggest round of cuts so far in 2026.
Some managers have been told to cut expenses by 20% on an annualized basis, Bloomberg News reported.

If people are saying SOTS is racist because of Uncle Remus' quotes...THEY are the racists. Uncle Remus was NOT a simpleton. He had wisdom which surpassed all races and economic classes, with a distinctive Gullah/Geechee accent. It amazes me how IGNORANT these people are!
Here's a 2007 CNN hit piece on Walt Disney's Song of the South from when the last time it was considered for a release. (This was for a DVD set that Roy Disney Jr helmed.) For historical context, this aired on the even of the rise of Obama's Presidential campaign.
Notice how the only people against releasing this film is the head of a islamic group & the white reporter. The two black men and hispanic men features want it release. Also of not is when the CNN anchor tries to humiliate the guy who runs the SOTS fansite because he used the term "positive stereotypes" rather than "archetypes."
Some of the things said about the film in the edited piece are incorrect & no one ever mentions James Baskett won an Oscar for this performance/film because that piece of history was already forgotten in 2007. This kind of coverage and the election of Obama with his community organizing activists obtaining power are why Iger pulled plans to release the film at that time.
Let's get it on the National Film registry to begin the process of restoring this history to the public square. The information is in the thread below.
