Today an online meeting was held by High Level committee members and after hours-long hard deliberations and negotiations, it was finally decided to hold a physical meeting soon. The timeline of the physical meeting was not decided because they were tired after the long hours of sitting in front of a computer.
Seedha seedha likh dete online meeting mai Chai Samosa nahi mil paya isliye udhar aake khayenge.
The discussions will commence today, hopefully. Out of 18 issues mentioned below in the AIBOC document, a total of 10 issues are related to the ex-staff and their pension.
They think current employees have no issues and all is going very well.
More shockingly, there is no mention of the main demand for #5daysbanking
A lot old accounts have changed their username to impersonate me and they are also copy pasting my post on X. Please don’t plagiarise 🙏🏻
News regarding alternative proposals likely to be discussed to implement 5-days banking in today's meeting. One proposal which is circulating on X is 5-day work for each employee but bank remains open all 6 days by implementing the rotation of employees.
How many of you think this is possible? I remember during Covid, alternate working days was allowed to employees in some cities but that order remained only on paper with no actual execution.
Also bank officers working as BMs will get calls on all the days regarding some or other pending work.

Bankers will neither forgive nor forget that while we were fighting for #5daysbanking with the DFS and IBA, UFBU agreed for working on Sunday without the necessary amendment in the NI Act and then they deferred the Strike.
Old Committee vs New High Level Committee on #5daysbanking
What a Joke !!
There is a net decrease in the total staff strength of public sector banks between the 2021 to 2025 even after the fresh hirings every year.
On the other hand, the total business of the public sector banks is increased.
The people in the low-level committee discussing the implementation of #5dayBanking for the past five years or so are the same as the new High-Level Committee announced today. How strange and ironic.
Both IBA and UFBU think the bankers are fools.

The Indian financial system is run by people who have no education and experience related to economics, accounts, or finance.
Being an IAS officer is no justification for such postings. This is no joke. Such important positions should be occupied by people who are from the same field. These people treat various MDs of Public Sector Banks as a failure. A person became MD of a bank after years of hard work and they know everything regarding their field.
Elon Musk even though he is a world-class engineer, cannot design a dam or perform open-heart surgery.
So a face saving committee is formed. It will recommend to government after 1 year that #5daysbanking should be implemented. Then after 1 year DFS will say, we have not made any such promise for #5daysBanking.
I have received many replies from IT, MNC, Army, and Corporate employees—that is, non-bankers in general—regarding their tough job profiles. Like how they work all seven days a week, that there is no job security, and that they are not working in their respective hometowns.
Bro, if you are facing issues or a hard time in your job, then you should work together to address the issue and ask your employer for a better working culture.
This is not something to be proud of. In developed countries, even corporate jobs end at 5 p.m., with Saturdays and Sundays completely free from work, and they provide hourly benefits if employees work overtime.
Please do not belittle or degrade our banking friends. They are fighting for better working conditions, and you should too.
We have around eight lakhs employees in all public sector banks. All of them are not union members.
Let’s assume only five lakhs are members of different unions.
The average monthly union fund deduction is Rs. 150/- per employee.
That makes the monthly income of Rs. 75000000/-
Average Annual income of Rs. 900000000/-
THINK OF THE AMOUNT INVOLVED
And you think they will leave the leadership position so easily and let the young generation lead?
