I agree, I’m also still optimistic for SSI and the staff. However this is a real setback for many people and SSI adoption in general. Sovrin raises questions now. You are doing great work, keeping the industry growing and I applaud you for that but plz be realistic short term :)

Nice timing Jamie. Not a good time to be a Sovrin investor.

You should broaden your horizon, beyond your own success and care and be responsible for others. Like the Sovrin staff which are basically being laid off. Like the patient investors who trusted you and your company. If you like it or not #Sovrin feels like a risk for people now.

Here is the video from my talk yesterday on where some of the bleeding edges of our current work on self-sovereign identity #SSI are. This not an intro, but a deeper dive into issues we are, or need to, discuss. Slides: docs.google.com/presentation… Video: youtu.be/LvW9tpZX0TA

“For that reason, I want to share five areas to prioritize in 2020, and one technology to watch as you’re getting ready for what’s next.” Its a priority for Microsoft customers beyond 2020. I hope it is a urgent priority for Microsoft in 2020, its taking off already.

I too will be in Amsterdam next week for the W3C DID Working Group F2F meeting and several other meetings, including Monday afternoon at TNO with @ChristopherA and Tuesday with a talk at the KPN NLSecure conference. It’s going to be big week for #SSI in the Netherlands

Our member @SovrinID published a white paper providing a detailed legal analysis of the applicability of the GDPR to the Sovrin Ledger and Sovrin Network: sovrin.org/data-protection/
“Self-Sovereign Identity: Instead of logging into Airbnb, Facebook, Uber, et al, you will log into your own self-sovereign browser, and will have the same ability to rent a hotel room, use social media or hail a car...”
