My 2-cent on VRChat as of late; The whole no-AI movement is really showing just how incompetent has been for years as there have been cannies sitting, for years, that would've prevented this. World ranking system that's been sitting since 2018, quite a bit of ai-disclosure requests since last year, "follow creator" since 2019. ・One of the biggest points I've seen is how ai-worlds is also flooding and making world discovery for new creators extremely difficult-- this has been the case way before ai-worlds were a thing which were called "slop" worlds. Only difference, you've got the ai part added. Back then, VRChat use to have a human team that actually investigated the world and would flame you with a public Google document if your map was approved or denied. Honestly made for the best quality control but not in VRChat's bigger audience now simply do to man-power. ・Another point I'm seeing is "If the issue is with stolen content then what about 'you westerners' ripping and stealing work and uploading your own." Goodness gracious, this is an issue with all corners of the world, not just a "Westerner" thing. EN-speaking just happened to be the largest audience for a while. Going by that logic especially for Japanese people using this argument-- shouldn't doujins and so forth be dealt with? If anything, the topic of copyright infringement should be met with, "It's about time you see our point" and work together? ・"It's hard to get into world creation as well since it's gate-kept." I've tried asking for help in the past and even for simple Udon-help, it's gate kept. All because VRChat AGAIN, expected the user player base to create all the the tutorials themselves and create this super data base etc. Even some of their world tutorials within the SDK? Nothing but U# and I'm like, "How the hell am I suppose to learn this when I'm not well-versed in U#?" which then pushed me away from the new feature for a while. Like literally, a lot of this truly stems from VRChat just being so incompetent with world creators over the years. To make it clear-- I use ai to help teach me some coding that people just love to gate-keep. I see it's positive uses where others would fail to help in. In the medical field? Go wild. I love that. It making recognition of bad diseases and their genetic coding more detectable? Here's a donation from me. Just not when it's all purely AI-made and sold to me. Also, this whole thing is really showing how some of you are the most racist people who do not deserve to have an opinion or should be reported to authorities if you're wishing death upon another. Goodness gracious, movements like this should be non-confronting, educational, and informing. All you do by acting like such whether you're pro/anti ai is, really solidifying your oppositions point of view and making them not listen.
