Today, the Ministry of Transport fulfilled a critical promise to Ghanaians. Facing widespread hardship from congestion and a lack of buses, the Ministry took the lead, securing 300 Metro Mass Transit buses. Today, we commissioned the first 100, ready to hit the roads and bring relief to commuters. While 200 more are on the way, we knew we had to act fast to ease the burden now. I want to thank all Ghanaians for their patience and trust. As we promised, under the vision of President John Dramani Mahama and the Government, we’re solving this challenge. In the mean time, 100 29-seater buses have arrived in the country to ease recent road transport challenges. They form part of 300 procured for the purpose. Another batch of 100 will arrive in August with the last batch of 100 arriving in November.
