If Western Christians ever woke up to God's provisions & promises, we'd be a real threat to the gates of hell. We've settled for institutional church instead 😴

Calvinism requires people to embrace & believe absurd, God-slandering ideas about God, who IS love, & about His provision for salvation & transformation... yet Calvinists work diligently to convince everyone else that these are true, rational, reasonable, biblical "doctrines."

@Biblethumpingwi, The Westminster Confession (3.1) explicitly says God ordained β€œwhatsoever comes to pass.” That includes evil. Calvinists may distinguish decree from causation, but that doesn't erase the decree. Quote your own confession before accusing others of dishonesty.

Clever satire, terrible history. Paul didn’t teach belief without obedience (Gal 5:6; 1 Cor 6:9–10). Jesus never called sacrifice β€œBaal”—he told a healed leper to offer Mosaic sacrifice (Mk 1:44). And Paul says he received the tradition that Christ died for our sins (1 Cor 15:3).
Paul dies and finally meets Jesus in the afterlife. Paul: I always assumed I'd understand everything once I got here. Jesus: You will. It's going to be a long afternoon. Paul: I'm so happy to meet you, Jesus! I led so many people to you. Jesus: (scratches head) Something must have gotten lost in translation. The Way is narrow and few find it. What exactly did you teach them? Paul: Well… that you were an atoning sacrifice and all they had to do was believe in you to be saved. Jesus: (sighs) I called the priests murderers when I stormed the Temple for a reason. Since you're dead now, I'll just tell you: those Levitical blood‑sacrifice passages came from Ugaritic texts. Jeremiah warned you many times β€” that's why I quoted him when I cleansed the Temple and freed the animals. It’s all Baal. Paul: (pause) All blood sacrifice? Jesus: All of it. And why did you teach them 'belief in me'? I said follow me, which means doing, not believing. Didn't you emphasize my ethical treatment of others? Paul: You mean telling women to be subject to their husbands, shun gay people, and ignore everyone who disagrees with their religious view? Jesus: Mindboggling. How did you get that from the Golden Rule? Well… you did get my name out there, I'll give you that. And I still love and forgive you. Paul: I was shipwrecked three times, beaten with rods, and stoned. I think that earns me a little creative license. Jesus: Yeah…traditionally that’s viewed as God’s disfavor, but hey, to each their own. But did you at least teach them the Good News? Paul: You mean justification by faith apart from works, inherited sin, universal human depravity, and abolishing the Law? Jesus: (flabbergasted) Son, none of that came from my teachings. Who were you listening to? Paul: I'd like to remind you I was caught up to the third heaven and had visions of you. I mentioned it. Several times. In writing. Jesus: Of who? I never knew you. Didn't you study under my brother, James the Just? I put him in charge of the Nazarenes before I left because he was the wisest and most righteous, and taught what I taught. Paul: Oh… that explains why everyone was listening to him. Jesus: (smacks head) - Katheryn Greenleaf

Nothing sweeter... UNTIL you discover that YOU are among the countless reprobates who were given evanescent [temporary, disappearing] "grace" in order to deceive you into believing you're "elect,"when you're just another hellbound reprobate.
There is nothing sweeter than understanding the love of a sovereign God who chose, redeemed, called, and keeps His people. This is grace.

Good morning. I woke up today because God ordained it. I’ll make it through today because God sustains me. And if I don’t make it through the day, it’s because God decreed it. I’ll reach glory because God keeps me. It’s a good day to be a Calvinist. β˜•οΈπŸ“–

Someone asks, β€œWho's your pastor?” And we answer with the name of the man who gives the sermon every Sunday. But that raises questions: Does he actually pastor you? Does he know you? Do you know him? Has he observed your life? Has he corrected you?

The "serious questions" 🀣 posed on "Christian" Twitter by @ShaneSchaetzel and many others are beyond absurd, and likely cause skeptics and atheists to smile and be affirmed in their positions. πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„ [my patented triple eye-roll]

Western Christendom has redefined biblical faith. Faith has become agreeing with propositions about Jesus, then being told we're saved and to never question "our salvation." In the New Testament & the historical "Way," though...

@YahwehGraced Romans 2 says Gentiles who do NOT have the Law are still judged for sin (vs 12–16). So how can 1 John 3:4-the passage used to argue that sin is violation of the Mosaic Torah-fit with Paul's argument? He says they're accountable even though they do not have the Law.

We believers, especially in the West, have been FREELY given [past tense] incredibly awesome promises & provisions... an unimaginable treasure IN CHRIST, but... We live as beggars, satisfied with the pottage of bland Christian activities & occasional, fleshly religious efforts.

@MrMrsTrumpet your meme doesn't define Christianity. It takes God's indictment of Old Covenant Israel & uses it to condemn the vast majority of New Covenant believers since Pentecost. Such claims require clear NT support. Publicly pronouncing God's judgment is a fearful thing.

In the church you attend... Do you KNOW the "head pastor"? Does he KNOW you? Are a plurality of God-equipped under-shepherds raising the flock up into the fullness of the stature of Christ? Is there one-to-another ministry? Do all members have a role, function, & voice?

Memes like this reveal where insistence on Torah observance can ultimately lead It implies that generations of faithful disciples, including many of history's greatest missionaries & teachers, stood under God's condemnation for not observing the Mosaic Torah πŸ€” Think about that
