That’s the most positive spin on being in your 40s, thank you Carl. I have exited research and development and have moved onto life.
A friendly reminder that Carl Jung believed life doesn’t truly begin until your 40s. Everything before that is just research and development.

In 1893 a Norwegian scientist deliberately froze his ship into the Arctic ice, let it drift for three years, and lost not a single man to scurvy or anything else. Then he walked off it and spent nine months in a hole in the ground eating bear. Fridtjof Nansen was thirty-two, a zoologist with a doctorate on the nervous system of a worm. His theory was that the polar current would carry a ship across the top of the world if the ship was built not to be crushed. He built one. He called it the Fram, took twelve men, and sailed into the pack. For three years they lived in the dark and the cold with no fresh food arriving from anywhere. On every previous expedition that had meant scurvy, the disease that had killed more sailors than the sea. Nansen's crew had none. They shot polar bear and seal, and ate the meat fresh and barely cooked, as the Inuit did. The doctor on board had almost nothing to do. In 1895 Nansen and one companion left the ship on skis to make for the Pole. They got further north than any human had been, turned back, and were caught by winter on an empty island. They built a hut of stones and walrus hide, and for nine months they ate bear meat and walrus blubber and nothing else. No vegetable, no grain, no fruit. They came out in the spring fatter than they went in. Then they walked home. Nansen went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize, and lived to 68. Every schoolchild is taught that a diet without vegetables will rot you from the inside. Two men spent a winter underground on nothing but fat and meat and came out fit to walk across the Arctic, and that was 130 years ago.

If you want to know why Japan loves America so deeply, go to a quiet elementary school in Ishinomaki and say one name: Taylor Anderson. She was twenty-four years old, from Richmond, Virginia. Since she was a little girl, her dream was to come to Japan and build a bridge between our two countries. On March 11, 2011, at 2:46 PM, Taylor was standing in a classroom in Ishinomaki teaching English to Japanese children when the 9.0 earthquake shattered the coast. The ground buckled. Power died. Snow began to fall. Outside, the tsunami sirens began to wail across the port: A MONSTER WAVE IS COMING. RUN FOR THE HILLS. Taylor’s red bicycle was parked right outside the school gate. She was twenty-four and athletic. If she had gotten on that bike when the bell rang, she could have reached high ground in five minutes. Did Taylor leave? NO. In the freezing schoolyard, Japanese seven-year-olds were crying in terror, waiting for their mothers and fathers. Taylor refused to abandon her post. She knelt in the snow at eye level with those trembling children. She held their small hands, wrapped them in warmth, and smiled so they wouldn't be afraid. One by one, as frantic parents arrived, Taylor handed each child safely into their mother's arms. She did not get on her bicycle until EVERY SINGLE CHILD was safe. Fifteen minutes later, on her way home, the 30-foot black wall of the Pacific Ocean reached her street. Every student Taylor guarded lived. Taylor did not. And here is what shattered Japan’s heart all over again: When her father, Andy Anderson, flew from Virginia to the ruins of Ishinomaki to bring his little girl home, he didn't blame Japan. He looked at the surviving children crying in cold shelters, and he made a vow: “Taylor came here to love these children. Her mission is not finished.” Her American family took the donations from her funeral and built wooden reading libraries—“Taylor Bunko”—inside the schools of Ishinomaki so her children would always have books, warmth, and a place to dream. A twenty-four-year-old daughter of Virginia gave her life so Japanese children could grow up. Tell me another nation on earth with a heart like that. Thank you, Taylor. You are Japan’s daughter forever. 🇺🇸🤝🇯🇵

New Yorker is getting dragged by the online mob for posting a video of drug addicts openly shooting heroin across the street from a daycare. We’ve truly hit rock bottom as a society when people are angrier at a man trying to keep his neighborhood safe and clean than they are at the junkies doing it in public.

My post about France went viral. Thousands of likes. Many Americans told me: "Democrats aren't socialists. America will never be France." I want to answer that seriously, step by step. Start with a simple observation. Look at what has gotten cheaper in America over the last 25 years: TVs, phones, software, clothes, toys. Now look at what has exploded: college tuition, healthcare, childcare, housing. What separates the two lists? The first lives in competitive markets. The second is exactly where government is most involved: subsidies, mandates, licensing, zoning, regulation. College. Washington lends students almost unlimited money. Universities know the money will always come, so they raise tuition and hire more administrators. The student pays the bill for twenty years. More government money, higher prices. Housing. Why can't a nurse buy a home in the city where she works? Not because of capitalism. Because of zoning laws, permits, environmental reviews, years of procedure to build a single building. The most expensive places to live in America are the places where it's hardest to build. When building is nearly illegal, prices explode. Healthcare. The patient almost never sees the price. A third party pays, regulations limit who can compete, and costs climb year after year with no one able to say no. So here is the trap. The problems you suffer from are not the failure of free markets. They are the places where the market has already been replaced by the state. And the solution you're being offered is more of the same. That's the Trojan horse. It always works the same way. A real problem. A generous-sounding promise. A program that makes things worse. Then the failure of that program becomes the argument for the next one. People who lived under communism in Poland learned to recognize the lie and the mask the lie wears. The lie never presents itself as a lie. It presents itself as compassion. In France we are at the end of that road. Debt we can never repay. Young people who can't afford a home. Our best people leaving. And every few years our cities burn. Nobody voted for this. They voted for one more generous promise, fifty years in a row. If you're a Republican, share this with the Democrat in your life. Not to win an argument. To start a conversation. If you're a Democrat, I'm not asking you to switch teams. I'm asking you to look at the pattern. Wherever the state took over, life became unaffordable. Don't fix the failures of government with more government. Stay American. Ask for less state, not more.
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream. Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You don’t want to be France.

On a ri.

In America, letting a 6-year-old ride the subway alone gets you arrested for child neglect. Lines of massive SUVs idle outside suburban schools. Parents terrified to lose sight of their kid for sixty seconds. In Tokyo, it's 7:45 AM. A small boy. Barely 40 pounds. Yellow safety hat. Big leather backpack. No parent. He hops onto a packed train. Holds the low rail. Steps through an ocean of 3 million rushing commuters. Nobody kidnaps him. Nobody touches him. Every adult in that car silently becomes his guardian. That’s not just transit safety. That’s what freedom actually looks like.

Toronto has fallen. I repeat: Toronto has fallen! In case you were wondering, this is what being colonized by Islam looks like. This looks like a scene from any city in Iran under the Islamic Regime. This is just another page from their propaganda booklet. May this be a lesson to all the other western cities about what not to do when it comes to Islam and Islamic invasion.

Preach Vickie 😍
A criminal gang member with multiple arrests and in the country illegally isn’t a ‘New Yorker.’ Frankly neither is the mayor.

I wish @VickieforNYC was related to me.
Every time I hear something new about this woman it’s even more unhinged. The really awful thing is that she’s extremely typical of women of her generation and social class. None of this crap is even remotely weird to them.

New York Democrats have declared WAR ON THE AMISH. Thanks to their unconstitutional attack on religion, they're now able to fine EACH unvaccinated Amish child $2,000 EVERY SINGLE DAY. ⠀ The $118,000 bill is one day, not the cap. Three one-room schools alone already owe that much for 59 children, at $2,000 each. ⠀ Health Commissioner Mary Bassett imposed it on December 15, 2022. She called the sum conservative because it assumed only one day out of compliance. ⠀ Dygert Road was billed $52,000 for 26 children. Pleasant View was billed $46,000 for 23. ⠀ Shady Lane was billed $20,000 for 10. ⠀ Footnote 9 of the Second Circuit opinion records the state's view. Each day an unvaccinated student attends is a fresh violation and a fresh $2,000 fine. ⠀ Another day for those 59 children is another $118,000. A 180-day year at that rate is about $21 million, and the families say they cannot pay the first bill. ⠀ Joseph Miller, Jonas Smucker, and Ezra Wengerd run the schools. The schools sit in Clymer and Heuvelton, plus the Canajoharie settlement, and take no public money. ⠀ They had a religious exemption for decades. On June 13, 2019, Democrats repealed it after measles spread through Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Rockland County. ⠀ Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the bill. Governor Kathy Hochul left it in force. ⠀ A parent may not excuse a child for faith. ⠀ Senator James Skoufis said the exemption was made up and fake. Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz called it utter garbage. ⠀ Counsel Aaron Siri told the New York Post the families can pay only if the state takes their land. Some in the community have talked of leaving the state. ⠀ The case is Miller versus McDonald. The Second Circuit ruled against them on June 30 in 2026. ⠀ A Supreme Court petition was due around September 28. Make sure EVERYONE sees this. If WE don't stand up for these incredible men and women - WHO WILL?!?!?! ⠀ Where is the “my body my choice crowd now”?

Do not stop fighting this insanity. Go harder, come together British people. You are being fully invaded and controlled. Form your own army, do not stop.
You’re allowed to wave Hamas flags. Hezbollah flags. Flags of the USSR. IRGC flags. ISIS flags. Gay pride flags. But don’t you dare wave the British flag or a police officer will confiscate it and arrest you for incitement and racism. Welcome to the UK.
