To really participate, you have to be ready to read, form your own thoughts and put them into words.
Even when you post a video, the conversation around it is usually driven by the text and opinions you attach to it.
Even a wrong caption on a video you post on X can become a problem for you.

TikTok is the most popular and overpopulated social media platform in Nigeria.
Even people in the remote parts of Nigeria know about TikTok. Videos from almost every kind of person and community are scattered on there.
The way TikTok operates makes it easier for everyone to participate. You don’t need to be a writer or have a particular niche. You can just create videos, watch, entertain yourself and interact.
Facebook is the second most popular. It has also penetrated almost every part of Nigeria and is used by people across different age groups and communities.
X is different. It is more or less text-based, with more writing, opinions, arguments, news, politics and intellectual conversations, so its usage is not as widespread as TikTok and Facebook.

Meanwhile, when Yul Edochie creates a movie where he sleeps inside a casket, it is seen as creativity, storytelling and entertainment.
One is being praised for bravery and creativity.
The other is having her mental health questioned.

She got him the job. He left her for the manager.
Then he said something I still can’t believe.
My cousin lost his job and things got really tough.
His girlfriend became the one supporting him, food, transport, and whatever little he needed while job hunting.
Then she told him about an opening at her company and helped him get the job.
Everything was fine until he started the job and started getting close to the owner’s daughter, who was also the manager.
What started as “just colleagues” eventually became a relationship.
His girlfriend found out and confronted him.
But his response shocked me.
I honestly don't think she was prepared for what he told her.

My friend spent 3 years training his girlfriend to become a hairstylist.
He paid for her training, bought things she needed and supported her financially whenever she needed help.
After 5 years together, he decided it was time to marry her.
But whenever he mentioned marriage, she always had another question.
“When are you going to rent a proper shop for me?”
That was when things started getting complicated.

This is what some churches have reduced Christianity to.
In a sane country, people like this man should be in prison for extortion.
