Being in shape is now looked down on. That’s how far this culture has fallen. Wild times when discipline and a good body get treated like a problem.

Parents are ruining their daughters for life and calling it “giving them everything I never had.” I was making a delivery today and saw a beautiful Maserati sitting outside a huge house. I complimented the owner on the car. He said, “Oh, that’s my 17-year-old daughter’s.” Then he tells me he drives an old beat-up truck, gave his daughter the master bedroom and bathroom, and he sleeps in the spare room. And THAT is the problem. Some parents are teaching their daughters that the world should revolve around them before they’ve earned anything. A Maserati before adulthood.

Never hearing “no.” 
Never having to earn what you want. Then adulthood hits and suddenly a boyfriend or husband is expected to compete with a lifestyle Dad handed her without requiring responsibility, sacrifice, or contribution. And when the world doesn’t treat her like Daddy did, resentment follows. Giving your children everything isn’t love. Sometimes love is teaching them to WORK for something. Our child wasn’t handed a car. He earned his own. He wasn’t handed a cell phone. He earned that too. I understand wanting to give your children a better life. But your job isn’t just to give them a comfortable childhood. It’s to prepare them for adulthood. Raise capable children, not entitled adults who believe love means someone else sacrificing everything while they sacrifice nothing.
