Having a pattern book for homes and commercial buildings is the sword to the Gordian Knot of planning expenses. But make sure your town gets something historically, culturally and climatically, fitting.

You do not have to pay a review fee.
You only have to pay a permit fee.

Not super related, but it’s interesting that at common law, the English and American heritage feels the exact opposite about real property. The fee tail is abolished and we have a Rule Against Perpetuities.

The thing is that ADHD is pretty close to being a solved condition and the majority, probably the vast majority, of negative individual and societal externalities associated with it could be removed by giving 6-8% of the population free meth for life but no government will ever do this so instead one wing of the Uniparty will hand out trainer money on an arbitrary basis and the other wing will tut impotently.

The English are genetically incapable of being too racist, so encouraging them to be as racist as possible is entirely safe.

Few people understand how fully degraded search became after 2020. In the before times, results were driven by user experience which fed algorithmic determination of credibility. Then Google flipped to prioritize "stakeholder" content. It was part of the general anti-populist revolution and clearly reflected a deep-state push.
At the same time, publicly available tools to examine the traffic of any site were made to vanish. This is all part of pushing messaging to the public and massively marginalizing creative and offbeat content. Today, the results of search reflects someone else's views of how you should think and not actually what the people are proven to want.
This gigantic change was never announced. Nor did the status quo ante return after lockdowns were over. The internet of today is completely unlike the internet of 2019. Now with AI driving most results, ruling class orthodoxies are ever more ascendent.
This is one of the most true points in all of American education, but people look at you like you’re mega-Hitler or something for pointing out that public school is mostly a waste of time for those with above room temperature IQs

"His power level is over 9000? That's nothing, Gohan. When you grow up, you're gonna learn big numbers aren't everything."
"But—"
"Just listen: I have to blow into a little tube when I start my car."
"Okay."
"It's called an Ignition Interlock Device. Court ordered. It detects my blood alcohol concentration level."
"Uh huh.
"And if it's over 0.08%, I can't drive."
"Wow."
"Zero point zero eight, Gohan. That's all it takes to get a DWI. Remember that."
"Okay."
"Zero point zero eight."
"Zero point zero eight."
"And then it won't matter what your power level is because you won't be able to drive 6 blocks down to the nearest ABC liquor on a Friday night, and get yourself a little treat for being such a great coach."
"Huh."
"It's a travesty, Gohan!"
"A travesty."
"And I'm living it. I'm living the travesty."
"Coach, if you don't mind me asking—"
"Hm?"
"Couldn't you just walk?"
[pft] "Walk."
"It's only six blocks..."
"What's the furtherest you've ever walked, Gohan?"
"Well—"
"Cause I'll tell you right now: you get an apartment on the wrong side of town, you're gonna learn some blocks are longer than others."
"—actually, everyone in my family can fly."
"Really?"
"Really."
"Huh. That must be very convenient for you."
"Coach, can I ask another question?"
"Shoot."
"Why's it called a DWI?"
"Nobody knows, Gohan. They used to call it a DUI, but they changed it."
"..."
"And no one knows why."

The whole concept of data-driven insurance is kind of fascinating, because it’s the largest, best funded experiment ever undertaken in actuarial science and it’s completely illegal to do anything with about 90% of it.

After San Francisco adopted Flock cameras, crime dropped considerably.
Yet people on here claim that the technology won't be used to stop criminals – when it quite literally is being used for that purpose, reasonable concerns about abuse, privacy, etc. aside.
This is actually the core problem. Most of the anti-government people on the right have less knowledge of American civics than a Honduran immigrant.
The United States has 3000 some counties, which means 3000 sheriff’s offices, which means 3000 individual problems of policing.
The federal government has infinite money and could compel Google to hand over their dossier on you they’ve kept since you were a child. If they really care, than can have the NSA provide their similar file on you.
The federal government is not your county government. Your county has to fund its police from fucking property taxes, the feds can print money when there is a short fall. The county sheriff is a real guy who would likely be excommunicated and disowned by everyone he knows and loves if he fucks up too badly. Federal agents can fly into Waco, Texas and snipe women and children smooth and clean, and live out their days in relative peace afterwords.
But because retards like this think that their county sheriff has the ability to put microchips in peoples brains to GPS track them, local county governments are stuck between a rock and hard place, because more and more people think that the government must be omnipotent, when in reality some counties can barely keep a couple deputies employed.
So yeah, the Feds might as well be omnipotent, but your local county that can’t print money is always going to looking for more cost effective enforcement methods.
Replying to @curtis_yarvin
If the state already has god-tier powers and can supposedly know everything without Flock, then why the hell does it need Flock at all? Why not use those magical surveillance powers to track actual criminals?
Your argument is completely self-contradictory.

That's what pluralistic democracy is about. There are 330 million Americans. We don't agree on many things. Where we agree, we are allowed to come together and form organizations to do the things we agree on. That should be free of government interference. 9/16

Everything else? Tack it on later.
