Is it possible that @GregSankey is actively trying to destroy the @SEC or is it pure incompetence ?
Lane is right. What’s more, I’m starting to question the legal acumen of the SEC.
In 2024, under a consent judgment filed in an antitrust lawsuit brought by the DOJ, ten states, and the District of Columbia, the NCAA agreed to stop enforcing the rule restricting DI athletes from transferring from one institution to another without sitting out a year.
Unless the SEC wants to be on the receiving end of a federal court lawsuit for the next couple of years, why would the league even think about resurrecting its intraconference transfer rule?
I can’t imagine a world where I would get a call from opposing counsel telling me they were “deeply disappointed” that I filed a motion to dismiss. @SEC and @GregSankey of course you will be disappointed if the motion is granted, but more importantly embarrassed!

The SEC, without notice, filed a complaint in federal court in Alabama against LSU then added the AG. The lawsuit was without merit, and the court lacked jurisdiction. The SEC has known this from the outset. I gave the SEC two weeks to dismiss this frivolous suit but it has not - so I took legally appropriate action to protect State interests.
Tough night for @LSUfootball but here is some Sunday morning perspective: LSU beat Nick Sabin at Alabama (with many of the players he recruited) the first year he was there. After that he went 12-5 against LSU and won 8 in a row against us along the way!

So I feel I need to set the record straight:
Hurricane Kiffin will no doubt leave destruction in its wake for the Louisiana university system at some point, but - NO - the Guard has not been deployed for this weekend. It is a very important college football game - but still a college football game nonetheless.
Mississippi has already made it clear to anyone attending that the police presence (state & local) in Oxford and on the Ole Miss campus will be the largest in our history. If you think you may want to create trouble - prepare for the consequences!
Mississippi has the the best law enforcement officers in the world. I trust them to do what they’re trained to do. #HottyToddy

A note from the @NCAA to all home teams… if you don’t follow protocol at the end of a game and as a result your team wins… you won’t be held accountable… so if you think you can cheat and get away with it you should !
We're sorry Western Michigan. NCAA Football Oversight Committee said if instant replay protocals at Michigan had been correctly followed, game's outcome would have been different.
But they can't overturn the result. Remains a Michigan victory
