Memory games @karpathy's LLM wiki pattern + CA-LTM by our CTO Lucio Flores @[not on X] at @CleverAlphaLLC are two halves of the same problem: Wiki = knowledge corpus (what the org reads & synthesizes) CA-LTM = operational memory (what the agent needs RIGHT NOW) One for humans. One for agents. Both compounding over time. CA-LTM spec: github.com/ca-sg-sync/CA-LTM… Karpathy wiki: gist.github.com/karpathy/442… cc: @quinnslack @beyang @swyx @simonw @steveyegge

The agent memory problem isn't storage or retrieval - it's context management. Lucio Flores, CTO of @CleverAlphaLLC, may have a novel approach: CA-LTM - a typed long-term memory architecture that finally answers "what should the model think about RIGHT NOW?" 🧵👇

If the ‘government’ cared about you: The IRS would have a web portal where you upload your info, and they tell you exactly what you owe. Nope only for the rich. The federal and State nonsense agencies would have a simple portal where you enter your family’s SSNs, answer a few questions, and it spits out the optimal accounts, deductions, credits, and benefits that match your needs. Nope only for the rich. Your medical records would live in a system that at a minimum would statistically flag age, gender, ethnic and geographic risks and test you accordingly. Nope only for the rich. …voting should be as secure and easy as an Amazon checkout …your share of the costs of war should show up like an itemized receipt on your taxes …the majority of crime could easily be tracked to the 1% doing the damage They spend 100s of billions every year to ‘get you’ but they won’t spend a few million to massively enhance the country’s standard of living.

If you’re staring at the back side of quite a few sheep, bleating the same sounds as the rest and forced to eat the trampled grass in front of you then you will never know if the Shepard is taking you to pasture or to slaughter.

“On a 1-10 scale (1 = extremely dovish, 10 = extremely hawkish), Powell’s 2025 Jackson Hole speech rates around a 3—firmly dovish but tempered by inflation uncertainties from tariffs, making it comparable to 2024 (also ~3) and more dovish than neutral years like 2018 (~5). It’s far less hawkish than 2022 (9) or 2023 (8), reflecting a shift back to easing as employment risks grow. This ranking aligns with market perceptions, where dovish speeches boost equities and lower yields, as seen today.” - Grok

I see a lot of get rich option Twitter, but the reality is: options are hard. If you don’t trade vol, make markets, structure products or hedge, then these are the only reliable rules: VIX 60 is a buy stock signal and a sell vol signal VIX teens is a hold stock with cash accumulation signal where you wait for that VIX 60 signal to put cash reserves to work in stocks and to sell vol. Stocks can only do 3 things: 1. go down (vol up) 2. go up 3. go sideways. Vol in the mid to low teens will be the latter #2 and #3 scenarios and occur the majority of the time. VIX under 12 is a selective buy ootm put hedge area but unfortunately a low vol regime can persist for a very long time. You need to be careful about accumulating premium (death by a thousand cuts). This is the vol danger zone because the temptation is to sell cheap vol after you’ve bled long premium for so long. VIX below 9 is a very rare intraday opportunity for speculative put buying as a position That’s it: that’s the lesson, everything else is luck and with options the truth is for the market taker: there’s more bad luck than good luck.

Sure for a pro but delta scalping is tricky for retail (optimizing for your spots given current vol and it takes extraordinary discipline) and because of spreads it’s generally a loser for the market taking options purchaser

Look up how much the Fed pays interest on reserves as a percentage of the bank industry’s profits. Then ask yourself what happens to the banks if Powell gets canned and Trump’s new chairman reduces rates. Bessent knows this

Is the Elon Trump kerfuffle a charade? continued from ☝️ 12. The faux fracture allows them to better control the Congress via the America party 13. The fracture allows Trump to extract more value out of Elon‘s companies for agendas which he needs to build out higher productivity levels to reduce the percentage of debt to GDP particularly around energy (solar), battery storage, battery production. Trump knows the only way out of the debt is thru higher GDP which needs cheap energy to fuel the growth and lower inflation 14. It allows them both to better navigate both sides of tech and MAGA broadening their support fabric thru this public conflict which when you examine the substance of their agendas - they are still very much aligned Seems like less and less of a stretch that this Faux Food Fight is a deliberate covert action to advance major policy agendas rather than just two school kids having a public pout

Is the Elon–Trump Fracture a Charade? Maybe it is: 1. Elon suffered both personally and financially for supporting Trump, but it was always likely he would eventually return to work on his companies. 2. His offramp from politics would be a wasted opportunity if not set up to regain ground and even covertly advance his agendas under the guise that Elon and Trump are no longer allied. 3. Primarily, Elon needs to win back the left’s buyer’s strike of Tesla cars, which has hurt far more than losing the EV credit. 4. Through robotics, AI, and rocketry, Elon has to be a believer in abundance, which would logically make the debt issue moot. 5. The center aligned America Party will probably be more motivated to spend less, compared to impulsively raising taxes. This helps the right’s agenda more than the left’s (supported by rumors of Pence leading the party). 6. Utilizing pawns like Pence covertly gives this ruse cover; for example, it gives Trump plausible deniability that he is supporting Elon in business, and conversely, Elon helping Trump in politics. 7. Both Elon and Trump have a history of using public feuds and reconciliations to manipulate media narratives and public perception. 8. This strategic distancing allows both of them to appeal to broader audiences without alienating their core supporters. 9. The appearance of a breakup may reduce regulatory, political and media scrutiny on Elon’s businesses (senators trying to win Elon back to the left may go easier on him and his companies) 10. Covert alliances are common in high stakes business and politics, where public disagreements can mask private cooperation. 11. Both guys benefit from maintaining unpredictability, keeping their opponents and the public guessing about their true intentions. Any other observations to support this theory?
