A replay is required in this year's National Electrical Wholesalers Intermediate Football Championship Final after Fionn Dowling's late two-point free earned Suncroft a dramatic draw against Milltown, @Richard_Commins

A fairly brief report on @maynoothgaa 's last Kildare SFC title win. The 1913 final was played on 22 February 1914. Haven't found a more detailed report with teams etc.
The teams from @maynoothgaa 's last appearance in the Kildare SFC final, 3rd December 1916 v @ClaneGAA

Incredible win for Maynooth with one of the biggest upset wins in the Kildare SFC for many years, they are into their first final in 110 years
Potentially a huge shock in the Kildare semi-final 👀
Replying to @MoorefieldGaa
@MoorefieldGaa’s David Whyte added to Brian Flanagan’s management team for 2027. Joins lead coach Davy Burke and Damien Hendy. Whyte has club management experience with Rathcoffey and assisted Ger Brennan both with Moorefield and Louth.
Replying to @MilltownGAA
@MilltownGAA 's last IFC Final was in 1977 when they went down to Sallins.
What an achievement for @SuncroftGFC to reach the IFC Final. Lowest ranked of the 16 teams on league position (3rd in Division 4), highest odds against winning it outright (100/1). Hard to remember such a rank outsider reaching a final in Kildare. @MilltownGAA hot favs of course.
Sad to read this. RIP Jack. Great memories of watching that Rovers team in Milltown. He was a class act at centre back.
It is with profound sadness that we are announcing the death of our former player Jacko McDonagh.
Jacko played on the four-in-a-row team at Milltown in 1983/84 and 1984/85, the latter season having won the league and FAI Cup double.

Hey so this is our country. If you don’t like it, please go back to America where you have a rapist for a president and racists running your country
With Confey dropping out of the IFC championship last weekend the last 8 relegated teams have now failed to make it back up to Senior. Allenwood, relegated in 2017 are the last team to make it back up (doing so in 2023). 1/2

The issue of the capacity at Cedral St Conleths Park was raised by delegates at September's County Board meeting, @Richard_Commins reports

My “On the whistle” report on tonight’s 2 hour county board meeting. Clubs animated about the senior football performances. Fairly scant info given about the executive review and its findings other than a need to improve S&C. Aidan O’Rourke and Daryl Flynn depart backroom.
Changes to Brian Flanagan's management team were confirmed at September's County Board meeting in Cedral St Conleth's Park, it was a passionate address from former All-Star Martin Lynch that generated the strongest reaction, @Richard_Commins reports

A downturn in the number of primary schools participating in GAA was also highlighted and is a worry for the future of the games in the county. Out of approx 90 schools, in the past 80 or so would play GAA but this is now down in the 60s, it was said. Cost of buses a factor.
