Our latest, Hollow Daggers by @AJLinnemeyer, is in third person. As are our next two, #Wake by @DelandJessica, and #OftheNight by @RichardBrantD. All are great escapism pieces as well.
“Listen. I don’t know if you’re real. You don’t know if I’m real, but under the circumstances, let’s just pretend we’re both real.”
-Excerpt from Of the Night, publishing in 2027 from @whimsillusion
I find the quiet moments are hardest to write.
Heavy plot points are easier, but they don't have the same bite without the quiet before.
Have you ever thought, "I wish there were more novels that logically included both dinosaurs and Civil War-era historical figures"?
Well, Of the Night is coming in 2027 with @whimsillusion. It'll scratch that Allosaurus/Frederick Douglass itch.
Kind of writing related since my WIP is a fishing trip gone bad.
I apparently caught a Tiger Musky (pretty rare) and didn't realize it until looking back at pics. Thought it was a big pike for a month+
Oh, hey, that's me!

The list for 2027 includes:
Wake by @DelandJessica
Of the Night by @RichardBrantD
The Antarctic Dream and Stylus Mang by Peter Biles
Sweet Witchteen by @KGRussellwrites
Wife is currently reading through my WIP first chapter draft. 😬 Hopefully it passes the wife test.
She's been a great (and patient) Alpha reader. I certainly put her through it on Of the Night edits too.
Not like this needs anymore hype, but who cares. It was weird. It was dumb. It was not what I normally read. But was it awesome?
YES
And now that I've finished the series (so far), there's such a gaping hole in my life (a Donut shaped hole).
Well, I'm writing again. For Of the Night, publishing with @whimsillusion next year, I had to research dinosaurs, medieval lore, and Gettysburg (among other things).
This go around, I'm starting by researching period accurate kayaks for 1998...
Jon's dreams are trying to kill him. Literally. Last night, he lost a tooth. Day before, stabbed. Tonight? Your guess is as good as his.
Dinosaurs. Aliens. Abe Lincoln. New girl at work. He can't know what fears await or who he'll pull in. Pass the coffee. #SmallPitch #A #F
INCEPTION X MANIAC
Jon’s dreams are killing him. Last night, shot. Day before, stabbed. Tonight? He’s already dodged raptors, aliens and Norse, so who knows?
At dream trials’ end, he could be a hero. More likely, he and all his friends die. Pass the coffee. #SmallPitch #A #F
