Today is the day! Born on Monday has launched everywhere books are sold, along with a brand new author website. Check it out! byrichardrbecker.com
As an atmospheric small town thriller, Born on Monday was chosen for a Spooky Bargains sale this Halloween! Check out the complete lists of books on Bargain Booksy. tinyurl.com/u5xphr7c
How cool! I just spotted a signed copy of Born on Monday out in the wild — at Somewhere In Time Bookshop in Webb City, Missouri (second shelf from the bottom). It’s the last copy. Someone should grab it up so I can send my next shipment to this amazing store. 🙂
Did I mention the Kindle version of Born on Monday is set at $2.99 as part of an anniversary promotion? It’s a great pick if you like small town thrillers and characters with depth.
Tonight is crazy for me as my two favorite teams meet up again. Milwaukee is my hometown, and the Dodgers are longtime favorites in Las Vegas. I’m leaning Brewers because they’re overdo to have their day, though I’d be just as happy to see the Dodgers stick around a little longer. Let’s go!
Save The Date: I'll be signing with Andy Weir and 200+ authors at Reader Nation on Nov. 14 at the Horseshoe in Las Vegas. I'll have copies of all three books, bookmarks, goodies, and a way to sign for up an audiobook giveaway. Hope to see you!
Indigenous Peoples’ Day and Columbus Day share a date. 1492 began a collision of cultures, yet the world that followed has produced extraordinary gains in knowledge, prosperity, and opportunity for people on every side of history.
There is a reason all my books carry reminders of our heritage. None of us can undo the past, but we can decide how to honor it.
Coming up on the publishing anniversary of Born on Monday, and the ninth anniversary of the very real 2017 October nor’easter in Maine, which was the worst windstorm in its history.

Import 3rd world, become 3rd world. What is happening in France is a direct result of weak leadership. Deport them all.
My first-period teacher in ninth grade wielded a cane on the first day of class. She did not need it as a mobility device. It was a prop, and she rapped it against the theater seats hard enough to make us jump. She used it the way some teachers use a raised voice: to punctuate a point or cut off a whisper...

My latest author post touches on one of those points today: Thou mayest. byrichardrbecker.com/blog/th…
In Indiana, there is a chilling moment when Janice realizes she climbed into the wrong vehicle. From the cleverly conceived character-driven anthology, 50 States.
My newest short story has been submitted to the Writing Battle. I have another day to revisit it, but I can tell it's too problematic to tinker with. (I've tinkered plenty!)
I'll share how the story fares in days ahead. It sounds like the first round will be wrapped up (and ranked) by Tuesday. Either way, it's nice to have a new story. I'll likely turn it into a newsletter sign up reward once it's all done.
Or, maybe I'll add a few more words beyond the 500-word limit and see what happens.
