Ken Paxton plans to cut Social Security and Medicare.
He’s telling seniors to “suck it up” while he owns 15 homes and increases his net worth up to $27 million.
Ken Paxton doesn’t serve us. He serves himself.

My father understood that voting is more than a political act. It is an expression of dignity, agency, and participation in shaping the future of our communities.
Today is the last day to register to vote in Georgia. If you are eligible and have not yet registered, take this important step.
Democracy is strongest when more voices are heard and more people are engaged in creating the Beloved Community.
Register today. Vote when the time comes. Let your voice be counted.

Some days, no matter how much time has passed, I just want to hear my mother’s voice, feel her embrace, or sit beside her one more time.
I am forever grateful for the mother I had, and I will forever miss having her here.

When cinema was still learning how to move, WINGS was already flying.
With the camera gliding seamlessly across a crowded Paris café, this remarkable tracking shot from WINGS (1927) remains a striking example of the ambition and innovation of early filmmaking. Directed by William A. Wellman and starring Clara Bow, Charles “Buddy” Rogers, Richard Arlen and Gary Cooper, WINGS follows two young pilots whose friendship is tested amid the aerial battles of World War I.
At the 1st Academy Awards, WINGS made history as the first film to win the Academy Award for Outstanding Picture, the category now known as Best Picture. The film also earned the Academy Award for Engineering Effects, awarded to Roy Pomeroy.

This merger will stifle creativity, weaken free speech, and cost people their jobs -- it is a bad deal for this country and should never have been approved. This is an incredibly disappointing outcome for the hundreds of thousands of us who stood up to block it, but it's also not the end. This grassroots movement isn't going to fade away and neither is our resolve. This was never about just one merger: this was about fighting back against corrupt oligarch billionaires trampling the interests of everyday people to line their own pockets. We're still in that fight. Join us.
