The Kansas City Royals are such a shitty organization on and off the field. No need in discussing the on the field stuff, we already know that. But off the field is worth talking about.
Tomorrow is my dad’s 50th birthday, and to his own detriment he has spent all 50 a Royals fan to his core. His birthday gift from our family was an experience of handing the game ball to a player. It was supposed to be his favorite player, but they said he would get to hand it to a player regardless. When he got there he found out he wouldn’t be handing it to a player, he was asked to just set it on the mound and to wave at the crowd for marketing purposes. Every single aspect of this organization is broken. If we can’t trust them to do the smallest possible things and honor their commitments how can we ever trust this organization will turn for the better? My dad deserves better and so does every one of us who call ourselves fans
