Apparently, we can fit 3.5×* as many VMs at once on the same server, and we're just not doing it. It's dumb, honestly: VMs waste RAM caching the same software as each other, which almost nobody deduplicates. So I did, and cut disk usage ~10× while I was at it. Here's how:

Oxford is one of the most inspiring places on earth. If HomeDAO existed while I was an undergrad, I would've applied in a heartbeat. If you want to build the future, apply.

people often ask where we started & what the early days were like, mistakes we made, lessons we learned, etc. truthfully, we wouldn't be where we are today without being part of HomeDAO every founder knows the struggle of building a startup alone - HomeDAO is the antithesis of that. when you're part of a real house with real mentors (and not to mention free catering, funding and everything in between), the journey becomes immensely more rewarding. it would be unfair for myself & my cofounders to not give thanks to the biggest needle-moving community we've ever been a part of. HomeDAO is so much more than an accelerator. forever bullish on HomeDAO.

Piece by piece the $BTC ecosystem is coming together. @ZestProtocol is building one of the most important blocks in that stack. A place where you can get yield on your BTC without compromising on security guarantees. Proud of you @TychoOnnasch
Lending markets are the foundation of the Bitcoin financial system. @TimDraper backed Zest Protocol because the team is building toward that.

From the first time I met @jackchong_jc, I knew he was going to win. Every time we meet, that conviction gets stronger. Congrats on the raise. From $0 to $3B TPV in 12 months is incredible. I can’t wait to see where that number is 12 months from now.
We’ve raised $8.1M to accelerate our mission of building a global network for modern financial institutions. These rounds were led by @galaxyhq, @almadaventures, and @hiFramework Ventures, alongside leading crypto investors. Read more on @TheBlockCo: theblock.co/post/401906/stab…

New Anglofuturism episode: Oxford's startup monastery We visited HomeDAO: a newly-founded, über-competitive and highly successful start-up accelerator. If there is to be a British PayPal mafia then it is quite likely that it will emerge from this hacker house in Oxford. Part 1 is out today. Calum and I talked to Josh Lavorini, a HomeDAO co-founder, about talent identification, taste, Oxford, the Coase theorem, British unicorns, the shortcomings of Old Street, and plenty more. Listen via anglofuturism dot c o or your usual podcast app.

When first speaking to @ballsyalchemist about @tenbinlabs, it immediately clicked. It's beautifully simple. You can't expect the world to buy PAXG and incur crazy slippage on a 100k swap. To truly have a competitive RWA offering, it needs to be so liquid that it can support huge order sizes and global volume levels. So far, everybody has tried to leverage blockchain rails to build liquidity for RWAs. But we haven't figured out truly liquid on-chain markets or effective swapping at true global reference prices yet. So, what do you do? You mint and redeem against the most liquid markets in the world. No need to reinvent the wheel when liquidity is already there. We're bringing the entire TradFi asset suite & liquidity on-chain. FX, gold, T-bills, all of it. Through @tenbinlabs, anybody in the world will be able to access extremely liquid financial products. Which wouldn't just be a profitable endeavor, but also a noble one.
Tenbin is excited to announce a $7.1M seed round led by @galaxyhq to tackle the broken tokenization space of today.

Very curious to see how @ranger_finance's raise will play out vs previous @MetaDAOProject ICOs. My gut tells me a lot of the previous overbidding happened because downside was very well protected. Your max drawdown was effectively capped by treasury value. With Ranger, a small portion of token supply is allocated to ambassadors, and previous investors are on a 24-month linear vest. Some of these unlocks are being mitigated via the buy-wall implementation, but that depends entirely on how much capital is committed (and how much is ultimately accepted). That capital itself comes from additional token sales that unlock at TGE. As a result, weak hands can be made whole at ICO price for a 90-day period during which roughly 2.1% of supply unlocks for previous investors. I also would’ve liked to see clearer disclosures on how much was previously raised, at what valuation, and how much of that capital remains in the treasury. If the project doesn’t perform well, it could trade below treasury NAV, something we haven’t really seen with prior MetaDAO ICOs. I imagine that a proposal to liquidate the treasury would still include previous investors. That said, if this does work, it opens up a much broader design space for projects raising through MetaDAO. The sheer breadth of potential projects could expand significantly, which IMO would be a very good thing and would address a lot of historical issues with token launches. Polymarket odds suggest the raise will hit its $6M target, possibly slightly more. Still, from a pure economics standpoint, I do think this raise has slightly worse R/R. I’ll sit this one out, but I’m genuinely excited to see where it lands.
