With our ongoing #sensorysignals conference, we are shedding light on why they are important: The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2021 was awarded jointly to David Julius and Ardem Patapoutian for their discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch. 1/3
Thank you for an excellent organized seminar, of high interest to @SINTEF 's recently established Geminicenter on Health and Climate @abgjorv
We start with @ProfMikeTipton - “I really would encourage people to get involved with this session – it’s really important that we hear a diverse range of comments and opinions, which will feed into a report on gaps in #climatechange research as it relates to physiology.”

Thanks to all those involved in making this happen. A step in the right direction. Off to talk about staying safe in heat waves now - no coincidence!
And that’s a wrap for our #climatechange & health event, in partnership with @LancetCountdown. Thank you to all our speakers, our chair @ProfMikeTipton and to you, our ~200 attendees, for all the fantastic discussion, questions & comments around health and #climatechange.

The contribution from Working Group II to IPCC's Sixth Assessment Report.
