Awesome new features on the Google Maps app! Get on this before your competition does.
1️⃣ The Google Maps app now displays photos with review text and a Place Topic in a prominent carousel at the top of the Profile. Interestingly, the pictures and the text snippets are often left by two different people. In some cases, pictures uploaded by the business are combined with a review snippet from a customer.
Google seems to be using AI to match pics with Place Topics and to add relevant review snippets.
Takeaway 1: upload photos regularly to get Google to showcase them alongside great customer reviews, making your Profile stand out.
2️⃣ In that same photo carousel, images from Google Updates are displayed with a text snippet from the post and date, giving your posts much more visibility!
