I love @duolingo, but I think the new update is awful and it dismotivates me a lot.
Look how much I learned on Duolingo in 2022! How did you do? #Duolingo365
I’m a Superstar Learner! What’s your Duolingo learner style? #Duolingo365
No, they haven’t. And they’ve also actualised the computer version 😡😡😡🤬

Danilo, we feel you 🫡😔
I eventually got the new Duolingo update as well. Danilo is sad. Danilo hates it. #duolingoupdate

Couldn't the same effect have been done with in-app notifications about what the suggested next lesson should be? Or requiring x-amount of crowns for checkpoints?

This learning model is "one size fits all" > "build your own adventure."

In-app notifications would have had the same effect. Or a crown minimum to pass certain checkpoints. This educational update is "one size fits all" > "build one's own adventure".

I don't always turn off auto app updates, but when I do it's because @Duo_is_sad. @RevertTheUpdate!
ALT Screenshot of Duolingo app with an offer and encouragement to upgrade to the latest version, which happens to suck.
